Turn 177 early:
We lost all 4 cities as expected.
Starfall:
Interesting. At least they had to pull back all their Knights and their second Cannon stack to Starfall.
That stack has 9 Cannons.
Starfall will get back to 60% cultural defense upon liberating. If we pile our stack into Starfall, they will need 4 Cannons to bombard the 60% down and then still have 5 Cannons to collateral the stack and a shitload of Knights to mop up.
We can hit the Cannons this turn with 2 Rifles, 1 Musket and 4 Knights, I think. Not enough to reduce the collateral potential as only the two Rifles have decent odds.
So in a best case scenario we have ~12 decent defenders (Rifles and Muskets) in Starfall facing 3 Cannons dealing collateral damage and then all those Knights and Muskets. I don't think that will work.
I suggest trying to get rid of the three blocking Muskets, take Starfall and put 2-3 Rifles in it, so they have to use their Cannons to retake it. Put the rest of the stack 1NE to the mountain pass tile as they can hit both Starfall and teh CFC stack tile next turn.
Thoughts?

What? They didn't leave any units in? How odd. Are they just trying to milk our rifle production rather than face a big stack?

They could not get any good defenders into Starfall this turn. Only wounded Muskets and Knights. We would have killed most of them.
They did the clever thing here, allowing their wounded Knights to retreat past the reach of our Rifles, while keeping them in play for a blow against Starfall should we pile all units into there.
Those 9 Cannons are saving the day for them.

In that case this sounds good to me. Is one of those muskets a morale GG? If not how is he facing that direction?
Do you have enough workers on hand to road the floodplains tile NE of the staging tile and give you the option of going for the other city? We'd lose the workers if they took both cities again, but if you can hold them it'd be worth it.

If we're retaking Starfall, we should take the city BEFORE attacking the muskets if possible. Getting the muskets inside borders will give us far more GG points.

T 177 late:
Liberated Starfall with a wounded musket. Then attacked the three musket rearguard:
Rifle C2, Morale vs Musket C1 93% WIN
Knight C1 vs. Musket 89% WIN
Musket vs. Musket 71% WIN
We will lose Starfall again and Summer Breeze.
Pics to come tomorrow.
We are likely to fight big battles next turn, possibly on both fronts.
Also WPC is allowing CFC troops through to hit us from the NE.
WPC might even road tiles specifically to hasten CFC unit movements.
I don't think we have ruled that out specifically in our NAP, but it runs the wrong way. We could mount a short punishment strike against WPC taking one of their more mature (cough) border cities with a couple of knights. Thoughts?

Right of Passage abuse is one of the most obvious forms of a NAP violation, in my opinion. We should issue an ultimatum to WPC demanding that they immediately close borders with CFC or we will declare war and begin razing their cities. We may not have many units up there but what we have is much better than their trash. If they're going to be assholes about this and we're losing anyway, I say we fuck them over properly. If they want to hold a grudge lets give them a really good reason.

Question: Did WPC ever even make it to knights? Or is their military still comprised of the same ancient age trash we saw last time we were up there?

How about we just let them live so they have to login for another month before CFC gets around to eating them?
Our threats carry about as much weight as the Obama Administration's war rhetoric these days so I don't see the point in threatening them when asking politely would accomplish the same thing (maybe even more!). Maybe we should just tell them that we'll null our NAP and let them take the German cities if they don't ROP CFC's units.

That would basically run afoul of the no gifting cities rule. And I know we don't have much up in that area, but at this point who cares? Whip up whatever few rifles we can manage and make WPC kill them. For war and profit. Or just to jam our thumbs in their eyes, doesn't matter which reason we do it for. They suck and are being spiteful by letting CFC march up to attack us. If anything you'd think they would try to find their own reason to break the NAP and try to take what they can before Apolyton gets it all.
And seriously...don't they understand that if CFC takes cities in the north that their land will be next? I'm not sure if they've thought about the way the map lays out.
