Looks like BaII is going to settle south of the jungled pig. Not much we can do about that right now, I guess Nicole will be a border city for a while. I went ahead and offered yurimack sugar for spice and sheep for cow. We can and I think should offer them rice for wheat as well, assuming they take the current offers. Iris will be able to grow to size 14 productively with the market + wheat. I've kept the city on its current arrangement which works the mine as well as an engineer, but if they accept the trades we can work Moai tiles instead and grow again quickly. We should be able to build the palace easily during the GA at the same time that we're researching Civil Service. I dropped science to 60% which is sufficient to finish Philosophy.

Also, there was a worker with movement left southwest of Nicole, so I told him to put a turn into the jungle chop. We should chop that forest soon for half the granary.

All fine for me. But please don't move any units down at Nicole. I haven't put down any signs of BaIIs troops but there are some.

Yeah sure, I'll make sure not to move stuff there.

What to we tech after CS btw? I would like to go for HBR -> (get Stables and Barracks in some cities) -> Monarchy -> Feudalism -> Guilds. That would take right now ~15 turns. T145 I would assume with CS as well. I think till T155 we could have ~20 Knights with some whipping. We definitely need some production powerhouses though I think.

edit: Like we have 2 cities that can get up to 30 adjusted hammers per turn, which is just 3 turn Knights. Everything else is rather pitiful. frown

Yeah I'm on board with going for knights after CS. We can whip them in most cities, leave Ana Paula alone since it only has one food resource.

I logged in as the turn was rolling and Sian declared war on Kurumi. I'm guessing he's north of Kurumi then. A war between those two seems very foolish at this stage.

On the plus side, Gavagai finished his turn before Jester logged off, so they both got to play the new turn immediately. dance

I put all our EP spending on yurimack now that we have graphs on Kurumi, but that may have been a little premature.

We will need to adjust the EP-slider certainly as Kurumi spends on us. But we can do that on a turn-by-turn basis I think (as long as we remember to do it...).

War news: We are again at war with BaII. I moved the warrior in the west back on the hill, saw that BaII still has 3 workers unprotected on the sugar. He had them there last turn as well and so I brought units in position to strike this turn if he still isn't protecting them. He isn't. So I used the two workers SW of Nicole to build a road 1SW, and attacked with our Chariot. Obviously he is 3 workers down (which I deleted of course) now. He can attack with his 2 axes and he has winning odds. 66% odds for him I think. If he loses he is in big trouble.

Bleh, I realized my mistake with the AI workers (I thought they could road the desert this turn) but you already played the turn before I could remove the sign. frown Ah well. I swapped Doris over to the plains mine from the GFH.

Nice move with the workers. Remember that the soon-to-be-founded city has an axe and a spear for defense.

IMPORTANT: if he kills our chariot he can move the axe back into the city.

Think we should delete the chariot to deny him the XP? I think he should get 2 so that's not the end of the world, though it does put him closer to a GG.

Didn't realize that a road was there already. I knew he was doing it, I saw it last turn. Unfortunately our workers were not in range for the road-build, else I could have sniped them last turn.

Too late now since he's played, but generally I wouldn't delete units in situations like those. Looks like he whipped twice in response. But the city was not settled? Is he going to settle even further north? Heh.

Okay I looked everything over. BaII accepted the cease fire. Looks like he is going to settle west of the pig which actually fits very well with our dotmap. lol

yurimack accepted our trades, so I proposed rice for wheat as well, so no need to propose again.

I forgot that we're going to be out of slavery for a while, so let's make sure we have enough units on hand to defend (we should). And ignore all my signs about whipping stuff in the near future. lol We want the population to work GA tiles anyway.

One thing we forgot about - are we going to start building the AP immediately? If so, where? Pamela's hpt is going to suffer while it's working specialists, but we could start it there anyway (after the ziggurat finishes I guess). Alternatively we could build it in Iris after the market and palace, but I'm not sure how much of the GA will be left by then. Just remember that we DON'T need the state religion in the city to build the wonder.

About specialists, make sure to work engineers where possible. A low odds GE would get us the Taj Mahal. A prophet would also be good, but we don't have any priest slots anyways.

Oh and we can probably do CS in two turns at 100% while in GA. Too bad we can't wait on the revolt since we need Pacifism now. The GPs are the most important part of the GA though of course.
