Crosspost .
Those are interesting options, but I still favor moving the Warrior 1E, and a settle in place if no resources are revealed in the fog tiles.

Okay - I am logged into the game. I am going to attempt to stay logged in for a few hours - to try and get demographic screenshots after each team settles. This will hopefully give us a bit of information - at least who settles a coastal capital.
2 notes on our position.
1. The grass forest 1W of the crab (that we get if we settle in place but not if we move 1E) is a grass forest hill, which I think is another vote for settling in place. EDIT - Actually, the tile 1SW of the crabs (that is fogged currently) also looks like a grass hill.
2. While I think there are good arguments for moving the warrior 1NE or 1SE, I am happy to move it 1E if darrell thinks so, since I vote you are a better player than me . In fact, if ever later in the game we are disagreeing on something, feel free to invoke "the post 54 corollary" to settle the argument So if we're agreed on 1E let me know and I can make the move in-game and report back

Also - sunrise if you (or darrell) can make some comments on our 9 opponents, that might be useful. Both from a leader / civ combination, or if you know anything about the players personally (I know you probably don't know awhole lot about most of the newer guys)

Post-spamming.
Dantski was first of the eight to settle - I grabbed a screenshot which may give us a few details but most importantly he is at 5000 land area so his capital is coastal

Hah! I was just commenting to sunrise that we seem to be a good balance. You're pretty clearly an outside the box thinker, which I suck at. We'll rule by consensus, history clearly shows that works !
I'm okay with 1NE or 1SE, IF we think it will reveal any resourcse on the fogged tiles. My experiend with the bleed says 1NE will, but 1SE will not. Let's see what sunrise suggests.

P.S. I'll take some time tomorrow to comment on our opponents.

So the way I see it - 1E will reveal the 3 tiles east of the warrior ( likely grass forest, possible plains resource and plain grass)
1SE will reveal the plains and plain grass to the east, plus the 3 tiles to his south and the tile(s) across the lake)
1NE will reveal the grass forest and plains to the east, as well as the tile 4E of the crab (which if it's a seafood may want us to settle 1E to pick it up)

Grabbed a screencap after Athlete settled - he had 6 capital land tiles, so also coastal.
As for the warrior, my vote is NE if one of you wants to make a move tonight.
Like I said in the email, if you're around when someone else settles, please grab a screen cap of the demo screen. Not sure if this will turn out to be useful or not but if we can get it, let's try to do so

I'm good with 1 NE, let's go ahead and move it.
