[NO PLAYERS] The Kibitzer Klub: PB13 Map & Lurkers

That's still more than you should be doing. You never volunteer new info as a lurker, you only are allowed to talk about stuff the turnplayer and his ded-lurkers have already mentioned, or answer rules questions.

is also too much.

They had already talked about prioritizing settling the islands, and about taking Nakor's stuff later, so I wasn't saying anything they hadn't already discussed. The hammer indicates a lurker call for blood, which is not to be taken seriously. But you're right that there can be a fine line.

there's a good discussion of the issue here: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...#pid387105

the discussion becomes heated, and focuses specifically on lurkers urging war. but the post linked actually is a very good one from gaspar. he pointed out that the more you play these games, the more sensitive you become to lurker slips. that discussion raised the bar for me when I get ready to click 'post'. if I'm not SURE its harmless, I don't click that button.

zed, the recent exchange in the viking thread is exactly what I was getting at. those are high level guys and they think about *everything*.

Thanks to Old Harry, first composite map of where everyone is located in relation to each other.

This is a terrifyingly large map. There must be a huge amount of lag between turns.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

yeah, it is huge. luckily, only 1 maybe 2 people will be in having to suffer that load time per turn, since it's up on the pitboss, it's not that impactful.

It was a hell of a time getting such a big map together though. And even so still had a decent few errors i'm seeing as the game goes on. I enjoyed it and would do it again though, the epic scale of it is quite fun.

What map-related issues have you noticed? The only glaring thing I've seen is the plains oasis that makoti is enjoying. I can't imagine how long it took to comb over this map during setup... eek
