t4 - Fishing

Not a lot to say here. Gavagai hasn't moved yet in the north. Its entirely possible that he wardecs and tries to screw with us by sitting on a the wheat or the ivory with his scout, I think that's unlikely. Much less unlikely that he follows up with a warrior soonish, but I'm not worried about that, not least because I refuse to play a game scared to be eliminated on t15. If he does :tip:

Borders will pop @ the turn roll, so should have some slightly more interesting pictures then.

The scout went 2SW as advertised. There is food in the area though it requires a border pop. I don't think we'll be settling in this direction super soon, though the sheer volume of bare tiles sort of lends to the idea that copper/horse could be nearby, which obviously change things. A couple chariots for barb patrol/scouting will probably need to be in the relatively early game plan.

The arrows designated what I would suggest as the scouting path for the next two turns. Much as the discovery of much more land than I was anticipating to the west makes me want to mill about over there to see if we can meet another neighbor, it is far more important to get eyes on all the land surrounding the capital as soon as possible. Not to mention the area we most need to scout is that which is between us and Gavagai, since we'll need to establish a border quickly. So we'll likely start heading north. Obviously Noble will want to weigh in and insult me and a few of our opponents before we eventually follow the path here.

No worries, we can pretend. It will just be like your contribution when you actually did dedlurk us. wink

compelling case for the vikings?
i think if the vikings had amphibious praetorians with strength 6 galleys you still wouldn't pick them :P

You know, healthcare.gov is shaping up to be such a scandal that it definitely qualifies as a city name.

What are you guys going to name the whole NSA scandal? Each of those programs is a crime all its own, that's a whole civ naming scheme just waiting. (Waiting to be seen by the NSA and for our server to be scrubbed to annihilation, most likely).

Ask and ye shall receive:

1) Turn off auto unit cycling in the options menu.
2) Shift + Click on the unit icon (circled in yellow) at the bottom of the main screen (as if you were deselecting a unit in the stack)
3) Profit.

Thanks to Ellimist and Mardoc for very, very patiently explaining to me how to do the above during the EITB PB. smile

About Gavagai's scout, sitting on the wheat or ivory doesn't do anything since we'll have two equivalent tiles to work (ivory and PHF) after the border pop. He could sit there for like eight turns and block us from farming the wheat, but I don't think he's going to do that instead of scouting.
