About settings, do you find the settings from the Duel League any good?
I prefer having a little more time to think about my turns in MP games, so I like the PBEM format a lot better.

PBEM it is then, I am not in hurry to anywhere.
Preferred settings, map, etc?

I've not played a Duel vs a human before, so whatever map is fine. Preferred settings - I guess on a small map Noble or Prince. I don't think we need to ban any leaders or civs - there's plenty of power combos to go around with only two players. Maybe just the standard elephant, nuke, and corp bans?

In case anyone has been reading this thread and is interested, Q's and my duel (grammar?) has started and my reporting-thread can be found here: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=6559 . Good luck to Q (and myself, I'll need it!), and to Dhalphir and 2metra with their game!

Yes, thanks THH, good luck and have fun. Thanks for the thread and sorry we got in here
As for our duel Dhalphir, I am fine with the settings and bans you proposed.
Are you generating the map? I think we will need Inland mirrored map. I would like Roosevelt of Sumeria

I'd like to duel someone.
I'd like to use the following rule: Wimpy units* can't take the first aggressive action** of the game.
*Wimpy units = scouts, warriors, workers, settlers, workboats.
**Aggressive action = enter enemy culture, or enter an uncultured space containing an enemy unit.
That way, we don't have to deal so much with the lame randomness that can be introduced by super early warrior vs warrior or warrior vs scout battles.
I would somewhat prefer a slightly larger map to a slightly smaller one. Mirrorland?

A game like 5B doesn't really interest me at all. I like to interact with opponents on the tech tree and with military units, as well as with settlers.

I would go like to take the challenge, however I would be terribly outclassed so u might want to be looking for a better player.
