[PLAYERS DO NOT ENTER] Lurkers thread, where lurkers are making fun of the players

I think long term that would definitely be better but they were likely looking at sharing the wheat tile from the city to the north to get the copper city started more quickly. But yeah, the eastern pig wheat city is certainly better and they should have left room for it. All the copper city needed to accomplish for right now was connecting copper, which it could have done as effectively one space west as you suggested.

They were talking about it being a commerce site (well Classical Hero was), and IMO 1W is much stronger as a commerce site, simply due to lake tiles giving both surplus food and decent commerce, allowing 1 1/2 extra tiles to be worked at least. One of the things I remember from base civ is that you grow a commerce city with farms before hitting the cottages, unless you're in food heaven.

I'll admit I'm not paying close enough attention to what they're doing to really comment too much. I only glanced at the map after I saw your previous post.

I'm only semi-regularly reading the OxySuttree thread so maybe I missed this somewhere, but has anyone posted an overview of the map showing where all the players are?

Yossarian posted a really nice turn 100 update, and a summary of their diplo relations with all other teams to date. This is about the only lurker-facing piece of reporting I've seen in this game. Everything has been diplo logs and internal coordination between teammates on details that aren't very interesting to anyone else.

I'd never want to take over a team in this game. But if I did, the whole NAP metagame needs a knight stack to the face and I'd be inclined to deliver it. rolf

What's happening here, a big NAP-lovefest with no one building military?

I'll provide running translations for non-French speakers.

Word for word, this means "ornery water", but it's more complex than that. It's an idiom referring to spitting. If you ask me a question and I spit in your face, now you have to wipe off the "au contraire". But I wouldn't do that, don't worry. Noble on the other hand...

This is xenu politely asking for explicit pictures of Alors, who is a female model. Typical lurker thread spam.

SutOxy is benefitting from a NAP-fest with their neighbours to race ahead in tech to a critical juncture, whereupon they plan to overwhelm one of them with Cuirs and proceed from there. It seems likely they will be at least initially successful, and they may have forestalled a dogpile until it is too late to matter.

Rome has built up a large army over a long time and has finally declared war on one of its three neighbours, prompting Rome's other two neighbours to also declare due to a long-established defensive pact. So far Rome has had more military success than the allies, however.
