As a Georgia Tech alum our next to impossible road to the BCS title game requires you to lose :neenernee.
EDIT: Okay the 12 hour timezone is confusing me, I see you guys already played and (barely) won. At least we can now join together in rooting for South Carolina, Baylor, Idaho, and Utah .

Heh, I didn't know there was a Ga Tech "path to the BCS title."
However, UF class of '06 speaking so....

Idaho? Utah? We don't care about those steenkin games
But yes, I'll be rooting hard for South Carolina and Baylor. And since Florida has already won it all multiple times recently I'm sure he won't mind Florida taking a dive today

Last I checked TCU had the inside track on you guys. They crushed Utah, which was their last "tough" game, so unforunately there is no BCS in our future (or yours) without some pretty massive upsets.
Pretty funny our team represents the #1, #5 and #7 teams in college football.

Everything I had seen said that we would jump TCU if we both won out. BCS computers don't care about Margin of Victory (I think?) and they're already ahead of us in the stupid human polls.
They beat #16 Utah but we just beat #25 WVU and still have to play #10 Pitt. I have to say though that they (TCU) have been looking awful tough
Anyway in-game, I was wondering if we have been missing anything. I notice Speaker and Sullla have passed us in total post-count.
I don't know if they have been doing any demographic studying, which I have kind of dropped, and they do have the added cachet of being Sullla, which gets them more lurkers I bet, but I just wanted to make sure we're not missing anything we should be talking about.
I feel like we do have a good overall plan and a solid MM plan in the short-term, so I'm not sure what else we should be talking about. But I thought I'd throw it out there.
One thought I had recently was that I definitely think people will not OB with us if we have TGLh. In the other game it's different due to the no tech brokering - it kind of forces people into big alliances, which is good for the owner of TGLh, since you have 4 or 5 other civs that are almost automatically going to open borders with you. In this game, that will not be the case. I expect alliances to be smaller and more temporary / fluid. Not that it rules out TGLh, since we probably will have 1 or 2 OBs at least and even internal trade routes are decent, but I think it's a strike against it.

Not much happened on turn 21, I gather.

One option for OB if you get the GLH: cut a diplomatic deal where you bribe them with resources, hammers via units, or gpt. Just don't try to split the benefits down the middle; your team invested in the GLH, and you have 8 potential trading partners. I'm sure your opponents would argue for a "fair" distribution of the trade bounties...
And re: college football: I think TCU's next in line over Cincy if a spot opens up; their recent stomping of Utah is better than beating WVU. And since neither team has a long tradition (stupid, but it matters), there might be some pressure to put TCU in over Cincy. Unless Cincy goes out and stomps on Pitt.
The computers are specifically forbidden to take margin of victory into account, but the MWC is solid this year. Non-conference schedules are similar: Clemson (7-3), UVA (3-7), Southern Methodist (6-4), Texas State (6-4, I-AA) for TCU are about equal to Cincy's Oregon State (7-3), Fresno State (6-4), SE Missouri State (2-8, I-AA) and Miami of Ohio (1-10).
