If I don't get peace, Espouse will spit out couple of triremes and galleys after Ball Court and I should be able to retake it within next 10T. It can easily do that in Golden Age and having Heroic Epic in it.

It had ~88% odds against Archer. Questionable attack as well as his decision to put resources on capturing the city, but when you've no chances to win, strange things can start to happen.

WilliamLP declared against retep. I've Chariot in the neighborhood so I'll send him to see what is going on. They also founded Buddhist Shrine. That is pretty good already and getting better e.g. I've adopted it and will spread it.

Pindicooter is hammering down Nakor who lost 2 cities. I guess they want their name in the winner candidate list too.

edit. I was also stupid offering peace to Bacchus. Apparently that winning Axe was only unit he had around. It would have been trivially easy to recapture. Well I'll be able to do that also later.

I've now filled pretty much all places that make somewhat sense to settle. There are still room for handful of fillers, but only 1 unclaimed food resource (cows north from Kotow) so I won't build settlers for now. After the current patch of Infra is finished I'm gradually switching to full military and see what I can accomplish against Dhalphir. I might need also something in Mackoti front in case he tries something or ends up warring giving me options there.

Incredible. Nakor did lose 3 more cities this turn.

Suprisingly I think this is probably good news for me. Mackoti gets a serious contender will be good for the game and makes it possible to operate behind the radar e.g. Mackoti has less incentive to mess with me, when I'm not that high on the top nations list.

Sharks have smelled blood. Now Lewwyn took a city from Nakor.

Taking cities from Nakor is fun. I suggest you try it sometime.

I wish I could, but we haven't even met. Maybe in the next game. Nakor does not seem to be have developed his game much over the years. He is reasonably competitive in the farmer's gambit phase of the game, but really can't handle the war part.

This also illustrates, why I prefer pretty random setups including events, barbs, huts and only slightly balanced and intresting map. They all spice up the game nicely when it would otherwise be boring, but really aren't deciding unless you really get screwed by land or RNG (this is also why I would like to see Map trading postponed back to Paper). Despite of all the balancing done elsewhere, your neighbors in the game will have by far the biggest effect for deciding the winner. In this case Kudos to Pindicooter and earlier to Mackoti for spotting the weak spot and taking advantage of it.
