RB Pitboss #2 [SPOILERS] - Peter of Byzantium

My Civ computer may have died this evening.

So if one of you could pick up the turns (we have a turn that we could play right now)

I am getting an UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME error and blue screen. It seems I may need to get a Windows XP boot disk, which I will have to try and get.

Nevermind - I installed Civ on my laptop and it worked.

T27 played. Built a road on the mined hill. Warrior moved into the forest to try and bait some lions. Hunting in 1.

Okay T28 played. Growing to size 3 and working our mine means that we have a warrior in 2, so I felt safe to start scouting west.

Found a sheep but not in a place where we can get it if we found on the coast.

And.....SCOREBOARD BABY!!!! lol

Will move warrior NW next turn unless someone's got a better idea

SW SW gets us on that hill for more tiles revealed, but NW is fine too.

Yeah I think I'll head that way next (or possibly if a lion appears NW) but I'd like to get the BFC of that river city revealed.

Well, if NW;NW of the Warrior's current position is Coast we could claim both resources by settling 2N of the Sheep. From the tile bleed that looks exceedingly unlikely.

I agree the priority should be scouting city locations so I like NW next turn followed by a curve to the S as suggested.

Interesting. I moved NW, and there is a wounded lion NW of the current warrior position! Seems like we just missed our first contact.

There is also a deer over here. I will wait awhile (as we are last up) but plan to move NW again to start T30

Okay I ended turn T29

Interturn, the wounded barb lion suicided himself on Spiros, who dispatched him flawlessly with one meaty 31 HP hit.

Woody 1 for him?

T30 the worker finished the road, but I have not moved either of our warriors. I'd move Spiros NW onto the deer, and Michel (1900 Olympic marathon winner) SE to start scouting the eastern city site

I'm not sure why people seem to like the woodsman promo for scouting units. Normally in a forest you have good odds anyways, so I prefer Combat 1.

Long-term though, Combat 1+Woodsman 1 is great since a GG can eventually get Woodsman III + Medic III for the best healer unit possible.

Less for Woody I, but rather for Woody II fueled turbo scouting.
