In fairness, that city completely sucks, and I don't even know why suttree settled it instead of the clearly better island west of it, hah.
Pindicator and I have talked about this a bit in chat, but if we feel the need to get more land, Black Sword is a pretty attractive target. We kinda toyed with the idea of eventually mass upgrading a bunch of Zerks to Rifles or something later and running over his islands with amphibious rifles off 6 move Galleons. Same strategy I used against Nakor in PB5, essentially. That's definitely not a concrete plan, just something we've floated. Pindicator likes to bring up that Commodore may be a logical target in a couple eras, but I keep putting my fingers in my ears and saying "lalalala not listening" so that's really productive of me.
Either way, it's infra-heavy for now, so this is all just empty chit-chat for now. Also, we're probably not going to pile on Azza. First, his land is awkward so it would make for a weird border with Lewwyn. Second, we seem to have longterm peace with Lewwyn. Stealing some of "his" spots by sniping Azza cities may piss him off. Would really rather not do that.

Obvious he didn't pay the iron price: suttree's archer was allowed to leave
With Education finishing in a few turns, I'm starting to think about where we get our 6 universities. This was all done via napkin math and screenshots, so likely a few of these ETAs will need to be adjusted, but here's what I'm thinking:
1. Trailblazers - t160
2. Boilermakers - t163
3. Red Wings - t164 or 165 (167 or 168 if we wait until after the settler finishes)
4. Bulldogs - t165 or 166
5. Tigers - t165 or 166
6. Wolverines - t167 or 165
This requires hammer-focused tile arrangements at all these cities. Wolverines can reach t165 by having a second worker land on the plains forest SW-W of the city center, as long as the worker lands by turn 161.
I'll try to spend some time in the game tonight to check accuracy and see if any other cities can speed it along. I'd especially like to find a city other than Red Wings to build the university, but we'll delay the settler if we need to. Either way it looks like we can start oxford in the capital on t166, and from there it should be about a 5 turn build. So hopefully we can finish it by eot170, and we can probably set up some overflow to shave a turn off of that. I don't think we can get a 3-turn Oxford done unless we pull citizens off of it's commerce tiles and do overflow on top of that.

New turn up and Mackoti has taken Economics and is setting to go Printing Press in 4. Actually, we aren't all that far behind: once we pull off our own Printing Press bulb, we'll just be a turn or two behind.
Old Harry's econ is humming - he is going to do Education in 3, and he just finished his golden age.
Plako took his first city off of dhalphir.
You around tonight?

Taking out Lewwyn seems more realistic than Commodore or doing transcontinental shenanigans.

So we need 7 cities for Oxford, not 6. In that case, the fastest 7 are:
1. Trailblazers (t160)
2. Red Wings (t164)
3. Bulldogs (t164)
4. Tigers (t164)
5. Timbers (t164)
6. Boilermakers (t163)
7. Colts (t164)
A lot of these cities need some help to hit the eot164 target date. Things like chops or arranging tiles. I'd write it here but I'm thinking about hitting the hay instead. Just don't move any workers next turn -- I may need them
Turn's finished. Our first settler for PAC South boards it's galley next turn

Who built AP, Ichabod?
You really need to stop using the wrong 'its' by the way.

And i voted for him, too
Scooter, I figured out how to 2-turn Oxford!!! It involves chopping two third-ring trees, and possibly building a workshop, but it's definitely doable. I need to finalize the details, then I'll post it

Ahh, Noble... Even when you're wrong, you're still right. Or your wrong/your right.
Death to Commodore? (Thought I'd save you some time).
