I have way too many browser tabs open and was cycling through, saw the score change at the top of the list.
In other tangentially related news, my second pinned browser tab (still, for some reason) shows information completely irrelevant to any of us at this point, except in an oddly morbid way. There is one bit of similarity your current events, though.
Code: 2/6/14 5:29 am CFC Score decreased to 2502
2/6/14 5:29 am civplayer Score increased to 2495
(The current turn appears to have been a week in length so far! ![shakehead shakehead](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/shakehead.gif) )

There's actually a second relationship given the turnplayer of two key parties in across the two games.

Turn 175
I think the Black Sword plan is on hiatus until this mackoti situation is resolved. Really, we don't want anything more than to maintain the status quo. See, we're teching quite well. How well? We can 2-turn Chemistry at 100% with a couple wealth builds. That's how well. GNP is nearly 2k (again, with wealth builds sprinkled in).
But you guys don't come here for the nerds with glasses. You come here for the WAR!
Unfortunately, both scooter and I missed a very important detail last turn. Let's see who can spot it:
We loaded the zerkers into Gimpy (our 5-move galleon) last turn! So the plan of attacking the caravel with Gimpy and then razing Father Squid came to a crashing halt. Unless we tried to attack with a zerker on board. So that was the idea: we'd attack with Gimpy, and delete the galleon after. Until one of us realized "why should we delete the galleon? We can just capture Father Squid and then move the galleon into it.
So we did exactly that:
Lurker Test: How much capture gold did we get for taking the city? You guys should be able to get close to the right answer if you think about it
Well, then if we were going to move one galleon and zerker into the city, why not move them all into the city? In fact, if Mackoti is going to only bring frigates (and privateers, I'm sad to say), then why not just city-hop from city to city until he has to respond? If anything it will buy us some time, making him react to us instead of just pillaging our seafood without repercussion. Look how close the islands are - it would be possible:
I tried to do the same thing with the copper city, but after moving 3 tiles west:
So we moved back. Not enough movement to go capture and then move inside the city, even if we did want to gamble on that. Next turn we'll go from the south and try again.
And then in the Department of More Bad News:
We had 2 galleons in range, and if there's anything I should have learned from PB8 it's that you need 3 galleons in range before trying to kill a privateer. Because if you attack with just 1, you'll inevitably lose and do so little damage that you can't even attempt the second galleon. Which is what happened here, I'm sad to report.
I think after we get to Mil Sci we'll lift the focus more on production. SotL are going to determine the battle for the seas. And even more important, we can upgrade our zerkers to grenadiers then. So let's definitely keep making berserkers!
Wow, I feel bad for Bacchus when we show up with Grenadiers in 8t.
*As normal, power rankings will be delivered late. This time because I haven't been paying attention and didn't realize it was already turn 175

I look forward to vikings with grenade axes being shot out of boat cannons.
Clever trick with the Galleons.

Hopefully not too clever. If he has a couple galleons of troops in the fog then we could lose it all. We have 3 zerkers unloaded and 2 on boats right now.

Maybe Mackoti was baiting you.

I'm surprised didn't offer the city for all his cash and peace just to screw with him and maybe get him stuck in a diplo screen.

Hiding boats inside cities is pretty obvious, srsly.
Dhalphir is ridiculous.*
