Nothing like the Prodigal Sons: The Odd Couple actually play as themselves.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what you want me to do. Do you want me to say something about this to Mikehendi? I really don't see how I can solve this right now without Mikehendi knowing that you were the ones asking for me to do it and I'm not sure if you guys want this to happen, considering the possible effects it'll have in the game.

Or is this just a request for me to take Mikehendi's previous actions into consideration in an eventual ruling regarding turn splits?

The situation occurred again this turn. I guess I'd like the following:

1. Should we go to war with Mike, we get the 2nd half of the turn split, regardless of what Civstats says, since we've moved after him consistently.

2. I'd like a post in the tech thread explaining how turn timer splits/double moves actually work, since I think a lot of the newer players here just don't really understand it.

Again, its not the end of the world but I'd rather lawyer a bit now than have a meltdown when something actually important happens.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

i cant believe you called yourself neutral good
NobleHelium
i am totally neutral good
Gaspar
you are lawful neutral
like
NobleHelium
my ass
i might be neutral neutral
Gaspar
you are the most lawful neutral ever
you are so hung up on things being "right"
NobleHelium
i am very lawful sometimes
no, that's seven
Gaspar
sevens lawful good
i think im chaotic neutral
NobleHelium
there are many instances where i say, yes, this shouldn't be done as the norm but there is an injustice here so it needs to be corrected
even if the rules don't allow it
Gaspar
eh
you are very hung up on the rules
thats lawful
NobleHelium
lawful means you always observe the rules
i care about the rules
but i don't always observe them if i think they are unjust, either generally or specifically
Gaspar
im just saying
NobleHelium
chaotic means you don't care about the rules
Gaspar
i dont care about the rules
you care about the rules
NobleHelium
yes, but i don't always observe the rules
Gaspar
i mean, i observe most rules
but thats because im generally more good than evil
not because i think the rules themselves are a thing
NobleHelium
i like rules because good ones can lead to more good
Gaspar
i like that idea
i think in practice rules never really make happen what they're supposed to make happen
NobleHelium
well that's why i don't always observe them
Gaspar
anyway, we can talk in circles about this for 4 hours
NobleHelium
because i know the rules are going to have gaps
Gaspar
you're lawful, let's move on wink
NobleHelium
you haven't said anything that supports that other than "i care about the rules"
anyway
the best example of why i am neutral and not lawful is just now
i saw mike's bullshit for the last five turns and didn't really care
because it didn't affect us
but now it affects us and thus i care
seven would have been all over that earlier than this turn
Gaspar
seven is clearly lawful good
you only caring when it effects you is more an instance of being evil rather than good
NobleHelium
no
Gaspar
which is why you're neutral
NobleHelium
it's not just about me
in this case i happen to be the subject
but more generally
i don't care that much about rulebreaking if it doesn't affect anyone negatively
i might be true neutral, i agree with that
but i cannot agree that i'm lawful
i don't think being selfish is evil anyway
it's not on the axis
Gaspar
being selfish isn't evil
NobleHelium
being selfish at the expense of others, sure
Gaspar
but being concerned about things only after they impact you
means you're not good
NobleHelium
well i told you that's a coincidence
Gaspar
i deeply hate myself for bringing this up
NobleHelium
lol
all right
i am posting the chat though
Gaspar
of that, there was no doubt
NobleHelium
i like introspection
Gaspar
edited to make me look bad, naturally
NobleHelium
well i can add a line where you admit you're hitler if you want
Gaspar
lol
id rather be stalin if i have to be a mass murdering dictator
NobleHelium
yes, stalin actually killed people for a purpose
Gaspar
yeah, crazy paranoid purpose > racism
not by much, mind you
at the end of the day, you still killed lots of people
NobleHelium
well mao killed the most people i believe
since he lived the longest
Gaspar
yeah, was gonna say
plus, history books dont talk about that so much
since you know
NobleHelium
kills per unit time, nobody beats hitler
Gaspar
we only care about white people
fucking white people

I'm chaotic good I think. Cheeky bastard. But I agree with Gaspar about lawful neutral noble and lawful good seven. He's like a paladin and everyone knows how paladins rub chaotic neutral the wrong way.

By the way, does this mean Parkin is lawful evil?

Parkin definitely fits the villain archetype of lawful evil. He subtly breaks the rules in so many ways that I'm not sure you can really call him lawful though. And he certainly has no respect for the rules.

What are all the choices? I don't see how Parkin can be classified as lawful anything. Maybe unlawful (insert whatever here).

Edit: And I think that chat makes you two look more like bickering old women bickering nerds than anything else in this thread so far. lol

It's the Dungeons and Dragons two-axis morality classification, you're not familiar?

I played D&D once for a few weeks in sixth grade. I recognized the terminology from that but I don't remember the details.
