Just decided to turn off my research for 1 turn to hide from Gavagai my research path completely.

Lost all races to Gavagai again. They were Liberalism and Taj Mahal. All my time before previous report I have spent for doing Alexander's work: building cities.

I had one GA. I used it to research Astronomy to obsolete Gavagai's Colossus and get my unique unit - East Indiaman. The result is great. Now Gavagai's GNP at GA is the same as my without GA. During 1st GA I built GS and GM so I'm ready to start 2nd GA at anytime. I think I'll use it to build Oxford University at Amsterdam and GP for Asten (Jewish holy city). To make these projects possible I need to build 6 universities somewhere (prereq. for OU) and Jewish Synagogue at Amsterdam to convert 2 more citizens to priests (now I can convert only 1).

Here is my tech tree. The only tech which is behind the right side of the visible part of screenshot is Astronomy.

I used it to research Astronomy to obsolete Gavagai's Colossus and get my unique unit - East Indiaman.

I'm not sure if it's what you mean but his Colossus doesn't go obsolete until he researches Astro himself.

No updates because no action right now. I have an impressive research and at the same time my production is weakest among other players. So any hot war is the worst scenario for me now and I'm going to preserve current status quo as long as it possible to grow the tech gap between me and other players.

Right now I initiated a new round of a cold war with Gavagai. I killed his caravel and I will be happy to see his massive stack of frigates near my my stack of ships.

Started GA. You should take this into account when looking at my cities stats. Civics were changed to Caste System and Free Market.



The short term reason for GA is to build an Oxford University and Dykes in my core cities. The long term - to force research towards Assembly Line to build Pentagon. I have 2 GE for that purpose.

My GA has been ended so I can provide clean stats without any pollution. During GA my research path was Replaceable Parts -> Steam Power -> Rifling -> Constitution -> Corporations.




The general goal is Assembly Line because of the following reasons:

• I have 2GE one of which wants to build Pentagon.
  
• I have something about 1000 gold cash to upgrade some Riflemans to Infantries.
  

Infantry unit + Pentagon will make it possible to start a hot war with Gavagai.

Steam Power provides me my unique building Dyke. I have built it in most of cities and I'm 2nd with production now.
