And re: Your naming convention. I'm not sure if you've posted what it is, but I'm looking forward to seeing St. Louis, London, and Stockholm as your next three cities.
Well, everyone has equal access to post counts and civstats, so I don't see how it's spoilerish to glean information off of that. However, with posts going up on every single civ today, I'm not sure that your theory quite holds up: The other teams are all active. Now, your activity versus Imhotep's on RBP1...yeah, that'll make a difference. But you knew that already.

Quote:Let's talk about the rest of the borders later on. If you really don't have a NAP with your other neighbours, then I would assume you should be busy settling that way so they can't grab too much land.
We did have a small WTF moment after I had taken a picture of Top-5 cities and posted it.. I first thought it was just some kind of glitch seeing two Athens there Perhaps you named the city after Irene of Athens? Can't really think of anything else related to Byzantine atm!
My reply
Quote:Sounds good. As you said, we would prefer to focus our settling in another direction - we just wanted to make you aware of our interest in that site. I think we are both agreed that we will get back together before setting any other cities in the upper river valley, right?
As for our city naming, nope it is not Irene of Athens - it doesn't really have anything to do with Byzantium really. It should be fairly clear after you see our next few cities...

Yeah...I scared myself into apparent silliness, in light of their latest e-mail .

Looking at the thread reads totals, clearly we're in a fight for second, and then there is a group of teams fighting for fourth. I'm impressed that LiPing is hanging right with us considering that's a 1-player team.
If we ever team up for another pitboss game, I propose the following naming convention for the spoiler thread: "RB Pitboss #3 [SPOILERS] - Sullla and Sirian (Leader of WhateverCiv)" regardless of whether either Sullla or Sirian are participating in the game. That should ensure us dozens of accidental first post reads, after which hopefully the lurkers will be hooked.

Nice idea !
I thought about one more point to bring up with the Ottomans. We are at least kind of boxed in with near neighbors all around, however they presumably have a lot of empty space where Mortius used to be.

T50 played. Did nothing. Workers mining, worker and warrior a-growin, warriors healing.
Athens will pop its 3rd ring next turn, and we have spotted our first barb warrior, to the south of Paris.
Also, teh Ottomans double whipped something at the end of last turn

Double whip is good news, that is probably a Settler . Although I guess it could be a Barracks .
