I remembered at last.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2608...cs0000.JPG This is after whipping again. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2608...nd0000.JPG The plains hill is where next city will go with 2 axe, 1 spear to fortify it. This is a nice city and is well defended with rivers on the other 3 sides and the hill. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2608...es0000.JPG My land. I have open borders and trade routes with twinkletoes which gives extra 3 gold per turn.
Thanks for those - looks like things are going well - can I recommend the "screenshot" tag like so (click reply to my post to see how the code works):

Thank you Old Harry. You are showing the wisdom of age. I have a better update as a thank yuou.
This is a picture of my land. I took the resources off because picture was a mess. I can put them on if that is better. These are the next two cities I will settle. They are both nice. Here is a more interesting thing. I will be going to war soon and it might be a stupid move. Look at the picture first. Eglarest is meant to be on the hill above it with a filler coast city. But I saw TT settler in 1 east of his city and knew that I would not get to the hill in time. I chose to settle here as it is still a nice city. It is not the border fortress I wanted but I now think it might be even better. I thought that TT would move his settler west to get wheat and gold but instead he founded here which is a pain. I have to now fight a culture war and my city is not secure from attack. I am not running a farmers gambit and have units in the area. B4ndit and Cheater Hater are at war and cities have swapped between them. I think Cheater HAter took the second city from B4ndit and he then razed it back. They are both fighting though and its nearby. Just in case they make peace, I am prepared. I have archer in border city with axe, spear and chariot around. Lucky because I was going to reinforce my 'fortress city' so I wanted to have 3 units of axe or spear (at least 1 of each) anyway. TT just founded 3 new cities in 2 turn. He now has seven!! cities. I have 6 (I founded Fornost Erain this turn), AT has 4, B4ndit has 2, Cheater Hater has 3. Seven is stupid. It's stupid because he does not have a good GNP. I am top on GNP by a lot and I am at 0% science. I can sustain 50% and my cities are all growing onto cottages so this will be 70% sustain in 2 turns by my maths. It's also stupid because TT has a shit army score. He must have twice as many cities as he does real units. You can't put cities in a warzone when you are threatening to runaway with your city count. He is making such a farmers gambit. One part of me says to leave him alone because then AT might win because he is only person not at war. But if I don't attack, TT might win. I am far enough ahead of AT I think so this is the right decision. I do not intend for long war, but quick raze and then leave him alone. In Eglarest I have 2 axe, 1 chariot and 1 worker. Spearmen is two turns away. TT has one vulture I can see and worst situation is two other real units. That would mean that his whole land and other borders have no army so I suspect he just has one vulture. He knows I have one axe and I won't show him anything more. The spearmen will be careful not to go onto the visible tiles. Next turn my worker moves onto the forest with an axe for escort. He will build road and then cancel. I hope TT thinks I am chopping the forest. The next turn, the road completes and my four units move to the 'weak point'. If TT vulture is still there, I attack him with chariot instead. If unlucky, I finish with axeman. I hope he either retreat or dies to chariot. Retreat is best because then his new city is threaten by slow units and his OTHER city can die to chariot if he has shadows as his defence. Best is I raze 2 city, worst is 1. I am happy with 1 though. I then offer peace and retreat. He might reject but I don't care. This means I can dominate the culture in this area and have a safe border city. He has enough cities still and,if he wants it, peace. I watch his power after just in case. He can still win the game as he loses only a settler and a unit or two. HE still has most cities, same as me. If he thinks he can still win, he might not be turning all to war. If he does, then my border city becomes a drain, but it gets more defenders and I still expand elsewhere. War is fun to plan. I hope this is not my mistake.
I think this is where it would be nice to have a lurker. I am going crazy planning things and nobody is there to say that you are crazy and to take one step at a time. I thought my plans of war would invite comment. It is hard though because there are lots of games and this game has no star player or attraction. I need to win a few games and then you wont be staying away from my thread lol.
Was thinking about pyramids. I should build them at Fornost Erain using all the forests there.
We're reading your thread. But there's not much for me to comment on. I'm not known for motivational posts.

If you go dedlurk someone else who needs a lurker they may return the compliment - you could try the PB18 setup thread...
If you ask specific questions about "will this action do that" then we can comment, but I'm not going to comment generally on your attack plans as I know what other people are up to (and I'll probably get it wrong anyway ).
