I think lurkers love talking about meta issues 1000x as much as they like talking about the actual gameplay. So obviously when the game is paused for a day, the lurkers can come out to play. wink

Makes sense. I'm wondering if people are talking about finally finding a player so bad that an AI replacement is an improvement?

Without commenting directly about what may or may not be said in the lurker thread, does Jowy posting there give any indication as to whether meta is being discussed? The only guy missing from the conversation is MJW, but i don't know if he follows Civ4 games or not. mischief

In my opinion, Jowy being there doesn't give any extra information about whether meta is being discussed. Jowy there? Discussion is probably about meta stuff. Jowy not there? Discussion is probably about meta stuff.

If Jowy's there, that's a good indication that discussion touches on "good players" vs "bad players" and/or the level of diplo in a game. In this case I suspect it's generally about the players as I don't know of anything going on with diplo, and bantams, well... hrm. Now, Jowy holds the opinion that diplo is good for letting "bad players" compete better with "good players", so either way he's may well be mentioning both. I haven't been paying attention to who's posting there, though.
