So why are there still arctic islands without Canadian cities on them? Surely you can cram another 5 or 6 cities on the map.

I keep talking about Moresby, but here's the set up, to soon be followed by the pitch. Rifle, missionary, workers, ability to build culture...this puppy will be a net contributor fast, although in the advent of hostilities with Vikings it's classed under “flea's fart in a windstorm” for impact. What the screenshot did not show with that Great Scientist was that the poor schlub's bulb is work less than single turn's worth of research. So that's depressing, why not in stead have a sexy look at my core. Universal Sufferage cannot come soon enough, this is going to be a looot of town hammers. Small, teensy-weensy, baby bit of an issue here; without my great engineer, I need to at least try to hand-build the Kremlin. Sadly, that's doubled by stone, and... Mr. Taylor might take some mild exception to the placement of Charlottetown here, so declaring war to break the trade is probably not option 1. I'm showing him this rifle and next a galleon, I hope that a foodless hellhole like this isn't worth tussling over to him. Frankly, it kind of isn't worth it to me once I get my epics built. Every city is worth a little bit nowadays, though. Scientific Method is barreling down the pipeline towards us, so that's the more expensive half of Biology done. Once I can get solid yields from even grassland and plains farms, Brampton here will be founded. +6f with one grass, two plains, and a crapton of coasts. I need to look at more cities like this as the future grinds on. Quote:Every city is worth a little bit nowadays, though. Love Free Market so very much. But the BtS version, with BtS corps...well, let's just say I am sad there is no Mining Inc anymore.

If you're looking to truly maximize the number of trade route cities, move Brampton 1W and then stick another one on one of the forests. Probably a very marginal city with some hammer potential at Biology is more viable, but meh.

Okay, as much fun as monasteries are, it's time for Scientific Method! Communism next, then maybe Physics. Democracy and Corporation are the economy vital ones, but I'm also looking at the bottom end of the tree... Horrific tech costs aside, we're still cooking along. Culture-building is a huge help to new cities...Charlottetown is going to be able to grow at and impressive 2f/t now, thanks lighthouse! Biology, when it comes, will blow up some of these lesser cities. Saskatoon in particular, y'all. Just wow. Finally, I'm going to start preparing for US and leaving military police as the primary happiness source. Toronto will be fine...until I invalidate furs and whales as happiness. No idea then, man. Theater time?
