My thinking was along the lines of, I'd like to show approval of their attack on Mike/Yuri, without being crass about it and paying them for it. So a meaningless gift. Banana just felt right. I liked their sheep offer earlier.

Looks like Gaspar razed another french city, Le Havre (his 8th city), and also their newest city (which autorazed), Le Mans. (I took a screenshot of his diplo window once I realized cities might start disappearing from it.) This war is nothing but awesome for us.

Yuri whipped some more, but he hasn't whipped his capital, which is still size 17, and he hasn't revolted to nationhood despite having machinery for maces (you have to scroll down to see it in his "untradeable" tech, and not sure if he got it last turn or had it already, but I think it was post-liberalism). So maybe he's pushing Taj still?

Seven, I assume you offered a diplo deal to someone and we'd receive gold, but we're at -45gpt with only 39 gold saved. Does the slider need changing?

Also, Gaspar took peace with yuris for a city. I think that means Gaspar took 3 or 4 cities from yuris?

We met Gavagai and I offered ob and sugar for 10 gold (representing 1gpt).

I have no idea how valuable ob would be to him or how much he thinks they are worth for us, but I don't want him to be able to counter for a deal involving gpt. Edit: and btw, the reason we want OB with him is to move our units through and try to get circumnavigation. He's much more likely to benefit economically than us. I think he's only got OB with 3-4 people and he's paying one player like 12gpt for them. So this might be a major windfall for him. I want to present it as an even trade that benefits us both.

The slider will automatically adjust down to desired level anyway. Though now you mention it, it might not if we get that 10g, oops. Will try to log in after him anyway if possible. Also, if he's last to play, that puts more pressure on him to accept our deal rather than proposing a different one, so maybe I'll log in and turn the slider back down if it looks like I won't be able to log in after him.

Was going to (tomorrow) but it looks like Ad Hoc's computer is going to prevent there from being a turn to play. I'll have to see if I can stream a turn during the week. I'm not up for doing this one today.
