what is current turn. From the pictures it looks like you get an other warrior in Pyogyong.. on turn 60. Wouldn't that hold the city?

You're right silly me not taking into account that Whosit has played. That gives couple of extra turns for us. That might be enough to give oppotunity to whip Archer.

It seems Kalin has been able to persuade Whosit to give up attacking. I'll send him this:

Quote:Dear Whosit,

Kalin has done a good job as a mediator to solve our dispute. If I understood correctly, you're ready to sign cease fire and give the worker back to us. This deal is acceptable. As an alternative we would also accept Peace treaty (10 turns of forced peace) or NAP (you can suggest the length). Please let us know as soon as possible how you feel and gift the worker so that we can play our turn.

It seems there is a misunderstanding concerning military build up. We're currently building military only for defensive purposes.

All in all, we're ready to forget this small incident and we can continue from where we were before all this happened.

Message from DMOC/Nakor:

Quote:Dear plako,
We have just met the Galactic Empire (whosit).
If what you said is true (the worker steal with the NAP in place), then that is an extremely dishonorable act. Whosit in his greeting to us said that he had reason to believe that you were building up your military. Right now, with the information we have in hand, I would have to trust you guys over the Galactic empire.
We are just about to connect our copper, so we should have some axemen ready shortly. In case you're in extreme danger (i.e., capital with praets 3 turns away), please let us know, and Nakor and I will see what we can do and if we can help you.
About your NAP proposal .... I like it. Let's do 75 turns. Right now it's turn 59 (or 60?) so how about we run the NAP until turn 135. This is admittedly a long time, but again, we will share a long bodrer. This way, you guys, and us as well, can be assured of having one border completely safe. Don't worry - we won't break a NAP. smile
About our cities ... yes, unfortunately we are very close. Perhaps we should just found the cities the way we have them planned and promise that we won't bombard them with culture? Later on, we can compare dotmaps and outline a border. What do you think? Our border will also depend on the order of cities that we and you plan to found. Is your deer city going to be your next (3rd or 4th) city? Our city near the lake is likely going to be our fourth city (we have 2 now - we are founding 1 at a different site shortly for site #3). Another alternative is that one of us agrees to withdraw that city, but in turn, give a city site to the other team somewhere north of the lake. Any ideas? smile Again, we want to remain friends with you guys. smile
One last thing - do you know where the Incas are at all? We are trying to set up a "map" of everyone. And I presume that Whosit is to your northeast?
Sincerely,
DMOC of the DMOC/Nakor team for HRE

I sent this to DMOC/Nakor

Quote:Dear DMOC,

It seems that Whosit is retreating from his aggression in this matter and giving the worker back to us. Negotiations are still going on, but I've high hopes they will be succesful. Whosit might be a bit inexperienced and maybe didn't take into account all the consequences of his actions so we'll be ready to forgive this mistake. We really appriciate your offer to assist us militarily. I hope that assistance isn't needed.

All your suggestions seem very reasonable:
* We accept 75 turns NAP
* Settling the cities as planned works for us, but we can also retreat a bit, if that opens up a better spot somewhere in the north. No culture war option would be very good. We'll try to map that area as soon as possible so that we can start negotiations. Please tell us well in advance when you're starting to settle that city so that we can negotiate details. The deer city is probably our 4th or 5th city.
* We don't know exact location of Inca, however LiPing former ruler of Rome did tell us that the Zulus were their closest neighbour in the east or North-east so I suspect they are somewhere there quite far from us and especially from you

Sincerely
plako of the plako/Broker33 team for Korea

Whosit accepts peace treaty, but there is a practical problem that prevents signing peace this turn. We'll had to wait until Spear has moved away so that we can recapture the worker. After this we can sign 10 turns peace treaty.

I moved settler on settlin position and Worker copping 1N of the city. Whosit has a warrior there, but as we've agreed we should be safe. I switched production on Pyongang to Granary and moved our WB towards north. That island provides really good resources. Fish and Stone came visible.

I would bet it is only 10 turns of peace. We should try to negotiate with DMOC a trade maybe a worker for a couple axes or something like that.

We could really use few Axes. I recaptured the worker and we got research visibility on Whosit and it shows 2 turns to IW. I settled the crab-horse city and started Monument that will be ready after the chop in 3 turns. After that I'm thinking Work Boat while Seoul builds Archers for its protection. Praetorians will really be painful. Even if we would have walls in the hill city they have decent odds against Archers.

Copper is top priority to us now. We might want to settle above copper since that is really good spot. I'll do rough estimations later, but I think we can time things so that we can found copper city at the earliest in ~12 turns, if we really want. Naturally this city will become quite costly since we need 150 hammers that could also be 6 Archers.
