[SPOILERS] Laconic plakonic

Based on civstats Old Tourists razed some major city from Ichabod (I'll probably wait for my turn to play before logging to check if it was his capital). Had to wonder the sensibility of this. Ichabod is already down so why to raze a city without any long term benefits. I doubt they can ever really hope to keep anything from our continent. Maybe this is just pre emptive strike to make it less likely Ichabod to have resources to revenge them later.

Bacchus is down. His last act was to whip down his size 15 Moai city to size 2.

I tried to maximise my GG points and attacked his Galley with my Galleon at 98% odds and lost. Nevertheless all the other fights at last city were victorious so I guess I better be happy. Especially 1st Cannon sieges were ~50% odds.

He must have forgotten to whip the scout...Or he couldn't because he could build explorers. crazyeye

Either way, that's a tough one to swallow. cry What are your next immediate steps? I haven't seen a picture of the battlefield in a little while or recall you saying what's next. Congrats on the annexation of Bacchus.

From civstats looks like William declared and probably razed a city north from Bacchus capital. Good call from the viewpoint that I want peace, but on the other hand he could have also kept the city and offer peace since I would have taken it. He still has not ended turn so I wait to see what is going on. He had a big mounted stack around ~50 Knights+Cuirassiers there. His problems are probably siege and amount/quality of city defenders.

This calls for revenge. Cof Consience has just 2 defenders I think I'll raze it no matter the costs.

Got my revenge. Pillaged roads (he didn't seem to have combat workers around). I'll probably dispand the wounded units and offer peace next.

William has got somewhere a massive amounts of gold. Otherwise he couldn't have upgraded this many units. He just finished Rifling.

No sign of gold deals in trade window so I can't say who has made the loan. Based on the size+quality of stacks visible I'll pillage more roads.

Also seems very likely that Ichabod border is very lightly defended, since William can devote this much power on my border. I might try to raze something through that border.
