I was thinking about Trolling this, but I figure I should put some effort in.
The Heros - A Tactical Guide
Volume VII - Gaspar, Lewwyn, Boldy
We're playing as:
Zara of Ottomans (Creative, Organized, Agriculture, Wheel, Janissary, Hammans)
Cuz you gotta put your feet up in style, if you wanna be the king.
Known Knowns:
Gaspar was one of the first players I lurked. PBEM 12 was a game with a map that was covered in forests. I followed it pretty religiously. Gaspar was teamed with Nakor at the time, which ended in disaster, mostly because Kyan got to be India on a map
that was 100% forests. We played together in PBEM 14 which was my first game on RB, and it was a diplo game!
Never Again. In that game Gaspar and I had a pretty good time chatting, kindred spirits, even if I did end up showing Scooter about sheepland. Since then we've pretty much been BSing with each other for ages. In terms of gaming experience on RB, we've had alot. Some good some bad. Much of it against Mackoti and Seven.
Gaspar is skilled in seeing the big picture and understanding the field. Very often as a prognosticator he is proven right. Unfortunately his prognostications usually end up being that he will lose. Additionally, even if he sort of knows what will happen and what he should do, he's not always adept at creating that reality and fulfilling what needs to be done. This is not to say he fails all the time, simply that he is not Mackoti. Mackoti is See, Understand, Do, Win. Gaspar just misses the Do thing. He has won though so, we have precedent, and there's no Seven or Mackoti in this game so things are really looking up!
If you want to know my personal opinion of myself and my skills, well, I think highly of myself even though I probably don't deserve it. Part of the problem lies in that I'm capable if I have the time to actually focus enough. PBEM 22 is what Gaspar likes to call my Magnum Opus because I played a very strong game. Part of the reason for that was during the game I had enormous amounts of free time and I would sit looking at the saves for 2-3 hours every day. I have not had such a luxury since. Partially because I played too many games, partially because I fill my life with a lot of stuff. So in the end I understand my limitations. I lose focus and drift away. PB13 is another example. I was doing great until I took over PB15 for Scooter full time spread myself thin and stopped regularly reporting in PB13. That's on me. I'll own that flaw. Hopefully I can maintain a higher level of focus with Gaspar. PBEM 21 Noble and I won as teammates, and we spent a good amount of time talking online. Hopefully we see a similar outcome here.
Boldy is our backdoor dedlurker. Boldy has a good sense of simming and planning, though I think he often gets distracted from the optimal path by ideas that intrigue him or shiny baubles. Sometimes I don't think Boldy goes far enough in his considerations for what can be or should be done. I find him to be a weird mix of traditional and eclectic. Basically I feel like he swings both ways. The best part about that is if he does hit upon a gem we can totally use it, and between Gaspar and I, I think we can sort out the weed.
And Ichabod is our Troll lurker.
Known Unknowns:
Will Lewwyn get distracted/busy/disappeared? Will Gaspar find a way to be optomistic? Can Boldly find the one true path to our enlightenment? Can our collective group of hotheads keep cool and in control? That is one of the biggest questions. Can we balance the builder and warmongers within us? Can we build useful wonders? Can we figure out the most useful wonders?

Likeliness to Succeed:
Quality of Selection:
Exploitable Weakness: Being better than us? Playing a better game? Honestly, I think biggest weakness is a lack of something special to our game.
Biggest Fear: Lewwyn stops helping Gaspar. Gaspar commits suicide from despair. Game is called.
Pregame Prediction: 1st of 7
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
