Welp, that's game. He's coming straight for me. This was the one time I NEEDED to be aggressive, but I went soft. Should be funny to the lurkers at least :P

Archers are two techs away. The only hope is that he gets greedy and goes for the capital, and I can chop an axe from the copper city while he kills my zerglings warriors in the capital. Anyway I'm rooting for him so that I can be eliminated and move on to a new game, but I'll do my duty and spam warriors so that it's as hard as possible for him.

Btw 4 turns until he can attack the capital, or 3 turns until he can attack the copper city that I haven't planted yet.

Actually I have to retract this smoke Being aggressive would also lead to me losing the game.

I lied wink Here is the plan:

But Jowy you silly sausage, why are you teching Sailing? Well son, it is to instantly connect copper to the capital once it's improved. Why did I not settle on the copper? That was a tough choice I must admit. Greed is the answer. This will be an acceptable spot if end up living through this, and I wanted a forest in range to hopefully chop an axe and not just have to rely on one whipped axe from the capital. The DREAM requires my warriors to hold against an axe, and the axe not disrupting my workers. Then there's this little fella on the way:

Bigger miracles have happened, right? popcorn

However, I must warn you guys that the server is struggling with this game. It took nearly 5 minutes to load the game, and the process is still showing "Not Responding" every 15-20 seconds in Task Manager. This is on a new Haswell Quad-Core i5 3GHz CPU with 8 GB DDR3-1600 RAM, so it doesn't exactly bode well this early in the game.

I'm a little less disappointed now smile I did expect the game to be called at some point due to lag, but it would have been heartbreaking if I was doing well in the game.

Copper is connected and he didn't move to pillage it. He is going for the city though, one warrior is dead. Two left in the city, two on the forested hill.
This was much closer than anticipated, but I think I'm dead. I've got three axes coming, one by chop in Space Butterfly, one by whip in Hallowed Bay, and one by upgrade. But they all come just a little too late.

Oh and I dry whipped an axe from the capital for 3-pop.. It's super painful, but one turn could make the difference here.

He killed off 2 warriors in the city while only taking a single hit, then killed the warrior on the forested hill to prevent my chop and to capture my workers.
Next turn he'll attack the city and raze it unless I get that lucky roll I've needed.

Sadly I will have 2 axes from the capital, so he can't straight up kill me yet. Might ask the others if it's OK if I convert to AI.
