BTW the reason I think maybe scout SE with the south warrior is maybe there's a jungled ivory??

Assuming survival/lion movements I think scouting the north like so gets our respective warriors back roughly around the time of the respective settlements, hopefully with chariots replacing them out in the field shortly thereafter. We're due some luck, yeah?

t39 - Xenu giveth, Xenu taketh away
So the warrior survived. I considered healing but we're on a bit of tight schedule in terms of scouting/having units in place to defend new cities from barbs and we're sort of pushing it already, honestly. We discovered ANOTHER Xenu in the north: I'm debating whether we should just go SW rather than W next turn. I'm not sure anything we reveal will be worth more than shaving a turn off the return home. Thoughts? You can see in that screenshot that our friend the Lion moved near the western warrior. I debated for a good long while whether to take a 73% shot at him - I was a bit scarred by our previous encounter. Nonetheless, fortifying on the hill is the right thing to do, so that's what I did. Lewwyn, if you're feeling frisky and want to take a shot at him on offense to not delay the scouting further, I ended turn but dtay won't play til 0-dark-thirty so you could always log in and smack him. The biggest news of the turn? Jungled, so not ideal but I guess maybe the new tech path is BW > Fishing > Writing > IW? Maybe IW should go before Writing but it seems a bit crazy to delay Creative Libraries. I think the warrior should go explore the landmass that borders the cap. We're going to need something planted there as early as possible because we sure as hell can't have someone else settled that close to Valhalla. So the Arrow denotes that rough idea. Lastly - we need to decide on the placement of Horse city in the next 3 turns, but ideally next turn, since if we're settling the grass hill we'd want to road the horses to speed up their connection whereas if we settle the plains hill we'll want the road west of the horses first. The road west of horses works for both cities, of course, but if we're settling the grass hill just seems silly not to get the horse connected faster. Boldly, Noble, Ichabod - any opinions on the subject? Here's another visual focusing on the area: I drew in the BFCs for the two sites to make it a little easier to visualize. Here's the pro's and con's of each site: RED Pros:
Cons:
YELLOW Pros:
Cons:
I personally favor Red, Lewwyn favors Yellow. Here's demogs:

I'm pretty sure I'm one of three people alive who really, really, really like this album.

We need to send the north warrior back to defend the settler. The settler will be out of our borders on t41. We need the warrior there.

We're going yellow because it appears nobody else cares and Lewwyn is more determined than I am.

I feel like I just beat up a little kid up and stole his lunch money.
