[SPOILERS] Biggest & The Best

Rheims is razed for the second time in history.
Bombarded down the defenses. Lost two cats in softening up the units. He had a mace too.

Going for the big prize. This one will be reinforced, but I trust my catapults.
After Paris, I will backtrack and kill off the three cities now cut off from his empire. Then the war is over.

Surprised Yuris with a naval attack.

Poitiers was razed.

Main stack still heading for the capital.

I noticed that Catwalk's power is still increasing despite me going to war with Yuris. He even saw that my stack was nowhere near him when I passed his scout. I've asked for Open Borders and I have 2-movers ready to scout his lands for units. I've started moving some wounded leftover units and newly created reinforcements towards Catwalk instead. It doesn't affect my campaign on Yuris because the units would not make it in time for Paris anyway, but they can still join up at Chartres later on. Like I said earlier, Catwalk is the kind of player who appreciates aggression and might go for it in a situation like this.

Logged in to check on that OB after Catwalk played. No need for that anymore.. He revolted to Slavery + Nationhood + Theocracy this turn, whipped/drafted a bunch, and has a stack on my borders. I offered Yuris 300 gold for a 10T peace treaty. I will surely lose Cray, but hopefully I can stop Catwalk after that and then start advancing on his cities once my units arrive. Alternatively if Yuris is spiteful and won't accept the peace treaty, then I could just be spiteful back and keep razing his cities while Catwalk takes over mine. I would prefer it not come to that, but it's up to him.

The campaign against Yuris ends here. The war was swift but deadly: 5 turns, 5 dead cities. Three more and his capital would have fallen, but we've got higher priorities right now.

It's the same stack as last turn, Catwalk is waiting for me to play first so he can declare war :P
Picture is just to remind you what we're up against.

I need to strike at him as fast as I can. He might chicken out once he sees that my war with Yuris is over, but he has shown me his hand, I know what he's up to.
My best shot is to counter attack now, not 10 or 20 turns later when he's actually had time to whip and draft maces.

I gave this to Nakor in an attempt to ally up with him and get him to move against Catwalk. Catwalk tried the 10T enforced peace trick, but Nakor didn't straight out accept it yet.
He might have just sent in a re-offer, in which case this attempt is futile, but it's absolutely worth trying.

The band is back together. Now I just need him to move in and I'll wipe out his stack.

There's a less spear-heavy stack in the north. I have my defenders on the jungle tile.

Catwalk retreated with both of his stacks. It's time to take the fight to his lands. This is our last hurrah in this game. It's a suicide mission.

If he has enough catapults he's gonna wipe out my stack. Let's find out popcorn

No blaze of glory for me frown He's got too much stuff, I can't charge in.

Aaaand it's gone.

Got my ministack untouched in the north, it wasn't in range for this battle.

My rolls were terrible btw. Still, 58 units killed.
