What is your sense of TBS' intended action here? It looks like he could pound us pretty good with what he has massed, at least initially.
Not sure if serious...

Alt + S for the green highlight helps make it clear which pile of units you're talking about. I had written the first part of that before seeing the real stack 2 SE of whatever city is about to get pancaked or whether TBS had been prowling units around here and there previously or whether you had unreported units sitting nearby, etc. Basically, about what you would expect from a largely unengaged ded-lurker.

But nothign else so I think we can settle this area no problem.

Yuri is being a dumbass. Either that or he's not paying attention.
Yuri has moved up the settler and the Holkan here, indicating his intention to settle the area. However I go first and so he moved there knowing my settler was there on the ivory with the axe and the other axe and the chariot and the spear. Basically we have 2 chariot, 2 axe, and a spear in the area here and Yuri has an axe and a spear, which are not stacked together at the moment.
We have 3 choices.
-We declare war next turn, kill his axe with a chariot and move in on him with axes while we move the settler to one of our preferred locations. Leaving yuri with a spear a worker and a settler against our 5 units.
-We settle on the ivory in place before him and block his plant.
-We move to our preferred location, allow him to settle on the hill with the axe and spear, and then declare war the following turn. (LAME)
Basically we need to rush into the turn and either settle or declare war before he can double move us and settle.
What do you want to do Gaspar. I'm fine with just settling in place or with wardecing and killing his woody 2 axe. I favor wardeccing to prove a point and because we're losing anyway, why not have some fun?

War. More fun, yuris is not known for his attention to detail, and you need to bang the drums against the guys ahead of you to improve your position. But mossy lay the first two reasons. How long is yuris playing for Oxy?

We decided to go for choice 3, the game seems to prefer choice 2, however. Unfortunately, after I wardec'd I lost a 88% shot with the first chariot, so I had to use the second one to clean out the Axe. This means his Holkan will kill our chariot this turn and there's not much we can do about it. I also had to cover the settler with an Axe because there's a barb Axe right there. So this could all go horribly wrong if the Barb wins a low-odds fight against our Axeman and Yuri can somehow get a unit in the area from somewhere we can't see. Fuck this game.
Here's some assorted other pictures because I'm too irritated at losing every meaningful combat roll in this stupid game to narrate anything.
@Lewwyn: No idea what to do with that settler in Asgard. Don't think we're ready to plant the new TBS border city, so... he's just sitting there. If you have an idea, feel free to log in and move him.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Quick, Ellimist Gavagai it up and chop that neutral forest while you have a treaty!
Also, you clearly should have settled on the jungle hill instead.

Well, that sounds about like the expected result. Get odds, die anyway. Also, nice hindsight view there, noble.
Don't worry, though. You just won the game because MoM is teh hax.
