RB Pitboss #2 [SPOILERS] - Peter of Byzantium

Ruff_Hi Wrote:He chose his words extremely poorly. Obviously, he should have said ...

"While we have revealed critical information to our enemy this turn, I have no problem with a reload given than rego and his team are stand up guys and we trust them not to abuse that information"

Yeah. There definitely are better ways to word it I guess....

regoarrarr Wrote:Yeah but this one was funnier lol

It is things / posts / ideas like Athletes that are leading me to wonder if I should even bother taking part in PB3....

You mean as in the "He pisses me off so I should get in PB3 and punch his civ in the face so hard that his ego may not ever recover from that." way right? alright

Lets not forget you can do that to Jowy, Athlete, and Kalin ALL AT THE SAME TIME.lol

Right right right lol

And you'll be there right? It will nice to at least have SOME friendly faces. We seem to be getting it from every side - other players, the lurkers, whoever....

And if you haven't seen already, the 3 of us have signed up to get beaten down (err play) again as a team for PB3

T82 played. Whipped the settler, sent the northern worker to explore, and the southern worker put a turn of cottaging in on that tile smoke

Also renamed and gifted Spiros and sent the Indians this email

Quote:Okay - I played and gifted the warrior to you. I originally renamed him to "Do NOT let our death go unavenged" but then realized that since the Ottomans have a warrior nearby, that could cause you some diplomatic problems. So I renamed him to DNLODGU. We'll know what it means :-)

Not that he comes with any kinds of strings - don't feel like you have to attack the Ottomans to avenge us or anything. But if you do, we'd enjoy it :-D

Good luck and have fun!

I have to say bravo to the Turks for doing things correctl thumbsup. It sucks we miscalculated the Paris location but it's great we get a "reload" so quickly in RBPB3.

Well, it would be hilarious if you won. Hopefully they won't nab that extra settler frown.

I'll see you guys in #3. Also you've beaten Spullla by ~70 posts.

Email from the Ottomans

Quote:Dear Byzantine Team,

We wanted to tell you that we regret that things turned out this way
in this game. We hope you didn't take any of our actions in the game
personally, we only did what we thought made the most sense for our
civilization in this game. Since we are members of the RB community we
will meet again soon. We hope that things will go different next time,
maybe we can even be allies smile

We would be more than happy to have a discussion with you or answer
any questions you may have about our play if you want to drop by our
thread. It's been fun playing with you, we look forward to seeing you
in RBP3.

Sincerely,
Athlete and Kalin of the Ottomans

Kalin also told me that the battle did not go too well. Not sure if I can log in to check or not

Thanks to the three of you for creating an enjoyable reading experience for us lurkers. Shame you were just a turn or two from being able to first save Paris and then possibly flee to the islands. Better luck in RBPB3.

Oh well, GG guys. Maybe looking back on it, the only thing you could have done was put the oracle on the back burner until you were able to sail away. frown
