The focus on proving that Krill is wrong, instead of on trying to make sure that the other players are satisfied and that the game is running fairly, is unbecoming.
I feel like I have to say something here. Can you please not talk down to an another player, especially one that's been cornered like a rat, like they're a fucking 4-year old child? Aggression and drama, yada yada yada, par for course, thats one thing, but this was completely disgusting. It made my skin crawl to read this post.
Parkin - GG, sorry it had to end like this.

I suspect that there is more going on here which cannot or should not be explained because of potential spoilers. It's well enough that we have a resolution. We players should drop further discussion of the cheating allegations in light of LP's resignation for time reasons. We can get into the events once the game is completed.

Well shit, I guess I really don't know how to communicate on a forum about some things.
Let me clarify my motivation for posting that. Some people seem really intent on treating LP as a cheater who should never be allowed in a game. I disagree with that stance, I think he's a nice guy, and I want him to be welcome in games and continue to play in them. That is why I posted.
In this case, LP did something (renaming a unit in a way that communicated something, I'm told) that is against the rules but that, to be honest, seems to happen about once a game because someone has a moment of stupidity. And immediately we had Krill calling for him to be banned from the game. (Thanks Krill for bringing it up btw; I'm glad the lurkers are paying attention.) I thought this was a bit overboard and said so, and I encouraged LP to respond himself. To my disappointment, LP responded to Krill's post but not really to the matter at hand. I was disappointed because I saw in LP's response exactly the behaviors that I believe people get annoyed at him and call him a cheater for, and I thought he was digging his own grave.
The intent of my response was to give him another shot at being gracious about it and to direct the debate away from him being a cheater. I thought that if I didn't post I would wake up to a witch hunt. Regardless of how successful that was, I'm sorry it came out in a manner that sounded condescending to you and probably to others.

Some comments from forum nobody #2.
It is absolutely ridiculous that Parkin is trying to play this off as an accident and that the unit name is just a reminder to himself (in addition to these signs he says he spammed). Really now? You think anyone will believe that a unit name of "WillNotTake[BarbCityName]" is a reminder to yourself? In what language would that phrase ever be a note to oneself?
And this is on top of not ever playing your turn until everyone else has played. You really think anyone believes that you have trouble playing turns here when you can easily play turns for multiple civs in PB18 in a timely manner on a regular basis? Previously you would end turn after everyone else has played and then play part of your turn after the turn roll (before waiting for everyone else to play then finishing), then you were told that you are not supposed to be doing that, so now you are simply waiting until everyone else has played to play. Yes, people appreciate you providing that turn-playing service in PB18, but there is absolutely no excuse for your insistence on squeezing every possible advantage using any means conceivable, which apparently also includes cheating and then lying about it. And that is why many people think you should never be allowed to play another game.

Sorry I over-reacted there. I just hate seeing people give Parkin so much hell, not only here in this thread but everywhere on the forum, as he's one of the few here that has been friendly to me (in spite of me being as raucous and prickly (read: generally obnoxious) as I'm aware I am), and, more importantly, I never ever see him talk shit about other players. I have no idea what's been going on with the turn timer or his inability to play his turn lately, or even why he doesn't want to explain himself, but IIRC he is a med student and I think he just got placed into a residency. He also lives in NZ. I don't know any details for sure as he's a pretty private guy.

There's literally nothing more to it. This is why I was so annoyed about Krill flat out pluralizing a singular event to give the implication that this was just the tip of the iceberg. (Go ahead, point out all the zero other events.)
I'll be able to play in 1-1.5 hours.

LP:
I am not in a position to fully evaluate what occurred. I do not believe that Krill or Noble would completely fabricate these event(s). I feel that if other lurkers held differing opinions from Krill or Noble, there may have been a comment by now. In light of the fact that you are seeking a replacement, I see no reason to adjudicate this issue. I can understand if you feel maligned, but the audience to whom you should argue are the lurkers and the forum for that is in your thread.
