Did we decide which version of Civ IV we're playing with? Last I saw it looked like the current version of RtR. Also, WLP, looks like it's you and me! I think?
I'm just doing my best out here.

I guess not. Not really sure where I stand now.

Yeah, Wetbandit and I are both from the PB11 generation, and that game was a de-facto 3-way tie. We have basically the same amount of multiplayer experience. He offered to be a mentor over PM which was accepted. I wouldn't be able to offer much beyond turning it into a 3-player demogame. (I'd have nothing against playing with Wetbandit as a team in another game, actually, but that's not what this game is.)
And Whosit, you played in PB2, lol. That's not the kind of "green" I can really help out. The kind of player I _could_ help out is one who hasn't gotten the basic principles yet: the players you see in various games who don't do sims or have micro plans and waste worker turns and don't work enough food and don't do C&D and place cities poorly. Just nuts and bolts stuff. But that's all covered in this game.

Seems like Krill has the map almost ready, I assume we're using that, though I have no idea what type of map it is!
We should firm up on the other settings:
RBmod?
Picking method
Difficultly(maybe map size too?)
Barbs?
Huts and events?
City trading
Ban number/letter communications in trade screen
I assume AI diplo, Normal speed and Don't be a Jerk.

Sorry then, I misunderstood what was going on. I thought Grimace + Wetbandit was a Green team because they were in the same list as me. And... I guess I stopped reading that post at that point. Oops. Pleasure to be working with you, Gavagai!
(Also, maybe someday, I will no longer be remembered for PB2.... )
My votes for settings stuff:
*Mod: RtR (I like the balance mods better for MP games)
*Snake pick...? I dunno.
*Difficulty: Whatever's standard for these MP games
*Barbs: Yes
*Huts and Events: No
*City Trading: Complex issue, but I think yes~ It feels wrong to me that cities can't be given up as part of a peace treaty, or even bullied from someone with a show of force.
*If we're doing AI Diplomacy, then I would like to avoid coded messages.
I'm just doing my best out here.

I agree on all these points and am easy about picking method. For the difficulty I suppose it depends on the map really, wrap ect. (I think anyway ) So maybe the mapmaker could advise when the maps done? Or is that giving away too much?

Map is essentially done. Toroidal. Impossible to get balance for 7 players without it, unless use a ring type map which has other balance issues. Suggest Monarch difficulty to go with standard map size; map dimensions are 76*28. If using RtR, huts and events are nerfed such that there are no negative events ie slave revolt, and no one can pop anything more expensive than BW.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23
Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6: PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18
