Turn is played, the land to the west looks nice. No happiness resources spotted so far except for the wine.
There's nothing to do for the first 5 turns but I'll try to look at the rest of the micro today.

Nice land! I updated a sandbox to see if I can improve on your Shaka time, but no joy yet. EXP is really annoying me ![tongue tongue](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/RBOld/tongue.gif) .
Edit: Scout the pigs next then double back?

Thanks for the sandbox, I can't get anything better than whip turn 24 settler out t25, was that our best shot ? Also we end up being one beaker short of the wheel on turn 29, so not super optimal. The scout has to go SW SE next turn, then S/depends on what we see there, but I'm inclined to go south again if there are hills in the row underneath the pigs. After that if the land doesn't ring back towards the east it'll have to go back : it's going to be our only scouting unit for a while.

Turn played, I'm in favor of SSW next turn even if it means a slightly delayed exploration of the east.

Third post in a row, this one to say that I ended up going SSW to find absolutely nothing in the fog...

Wow, that is a lot of nothing...

If it had been 1E I'd have gone for it. Now I'm not so sure because it's possible that the sea is just a big lake so it's either SE to go around the lake or back NE to the cap. I'll probably regret that choice in the second stage of scouting (ie when we want to settle our 3rd/4th city) but if the forested hill reveals nothing or close enough it'll be a waste of 2 turns.

I'd head back, you can uncover a lot down here but these tiles really don't matter, even if you find a floodplains gold you aren't going to settle it until city five(ish). As you say the sites for city three and four are way more important.

Ah, hang on, things are moving quick with this game! Here's my spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?..._web#gid=0
Version B goes WB-warrior-Worker and whips the worker t15 before whipping the settler t24 with 40 hammers overflow into a worker. How does that compare with yours?
Ignore version C - that's only if we got BW a turn earlier (no huts or events so that's not happening).
