[Spoiler] Desperados: The Black Sword & Agent

How is it going?

I've been trying out some micro plans tonight. This is the best I can really get, so I thought I'd lay it out. I had a couple of ideas to improve it, but none worked out:

-Improve cow first, still leaves 2b short of getting Wheel earlier
-finish the first warrior earlier: either shift everything back a turn or gives some really inefficient worker turns
-Grow to size 3 before worker: Only really makes sense if we put a mine up. But that already puts us a chop behind. Doesn't really improve the settler build, which is mostly with chops, just slows growth for more hammers into warriors.

-Getting a third worker before the settler might be an idea, haven't tried it. Doesn't really feel suited to Imp but it might work.

Anyway:

Improve pig first, switch to worker build at size 2, don't complete the warrior.

Finish worker, then warrior. Put a chop into the settler.

Grow, put another chop in to complete the settler.

Grow for a turn, complete Wheel. Free worker puts a turn into a useless farm. Then revolt to slavery, chop into worker, put a turn into a road.

32 hammers into the capital worker, that can be 1 whipped after growth. 2 workers to improve wheat, trade network then cow at new city.

Aye aye.

Worker complete, growing on a Warrior build.

Not a peninsula but will settle the already appealing PH to form a canal.

In moving the worker off the pigs, should I move it 1S, Hit Farm/Cancel to sink 1 turn in, then move and start pasturing the next turn to avoid any waste?

yeah, and its a good idea to put a sign on the tile too so you don't forget your earlier micro. for example, I'll put "1tr" on a tile that has 1 worker-turn spent on a road, "1tf" for 1 turn spent a farm, "3tf" for 3 turns on a farm, "2tc" for 2 turns on a cottage, etc. some people like to do it the other way around, where they'll mark how many turns remain on the improvement. Up to you, really.

Yeah, I really doubt we'll want to farm that tile, but there's no downside.

Do you get the triangles everytime you log in? That would probably drive me crazy.

Yeah.. my graphics card may be dying, but I need to find a way to test it fully before rushing out and spending cash on a new one.

I don't think I should explore much further, my scout is already having to dance around a bear and I'm going to need it to clear a path for my first settler..

If you can't get around the bear, then yeah, might as well turn back. Perhaps after the settler is out we should aim to have 3 units exploring along our expansion paths; East, West and South?

That's part of what I love about Impis, they are such amazing early scouts.

Anyway, Capital is at Pop 2; switched to Worker. Worker in field pasturing cows.

This weekend I'll plug what we've got to date into Worldbuilder and try to sim out another few dozen turns.
