I literally just saw the movie for the first time a few hours ago (thanks, Redbox!) It was pretty good, wasn't totally blown away. Mainstream appeal doesn't surprise me, plenty of funny lines and explosions all but the dullest viewers could appreciate. Kind of a CGI fest tho, more than once I felt like I was watching someone else play a video game- kind of like the Star Wars prequels, except Guardians had at least a glimmer of a soul and infinitely better pacing.

Good but not great is a fine way of putting it...I mean, Lord of the Rings was just such an overwhelmingly amazing bucket of awesomesauce even the most average of movie goers could see that something special was happening. GotG? Entertaining as all hell, but that's a lot of movies that completely fail to capture the masses half as well.

Thoughts on the last of the hobbit movies? I haven't seen it but expect to grudgingly go at some point just because I'm sure there will be family or friends that want to wrap it up.

I kinda liked Guardians due to the amount of actual set work effects in it. It wasn't all green CGI nonsense, although there was a good amount of that.
Got some random combos, Krill?

Nice. Hard choice, but Genghis of China are the two I haven't played before.
