Unrelatedly - how do you remove unwanted contact between civs? Is it a worldbuilder or notepad job?

contact=team# that they are ie player zero = team 0.

Welcome Goataku! Who do you think the contenders are?

I've ticked this lot off my to do list:

- Check Coal/Aluminium/Uranium
- Make Civ 5 and 9's starts better
- Make sure everyone has a viable second city
- Add more hills and food
- Remove contact between some of the civs

All that's left is to assign the players and their starting techs in about three weeks time. Unless of course I've made any other glaring errors. Please feel free to check if I did:

PB25 with no barb subs v5

In particular are starts 5 and 9 on a par with the others now?

Edit: And should diplo victory be disabled?

Haven't checked, but:

Ask them. And remember that disabling it removes the AP and UN from the game.

This is funny, except if I was the player who wanted to settle that island. Not a huge thing, just a map troll, but that happens from time to time. However, this gets hilarious and blows up in your face if the player near that island builds the Great Wall, spreads culture to cover the island, and bounces that machine gun into rival territory. Good luck breaking a barb machine gun choke without taking serious losses. alright

If you wanted to be a real bastard about it (and I haven't checked over the map balance to see if it's possible) you could set aside an island crawling with advanced barb weapons (machine guns, cannons, a few cavalry for good measure) and dare someone to try settling it before the industrial age. MG have AICityDefense, though, so it'd probably just walk to nearest barb city or stay in place. Not 100% sure on the stay in place, but I doubt it'd pillage, at least.
