Meanwhile we have contact with Azza too, found Ichabods capital and got some barbs visiting. First worker is complete and starts to improve the gems.

Azza spent a lot of money this turn (most likely a settler).

Do you have a particular spot in mind for your second city?

I'm waffling between 2 spots.

1 SE of the spear with Cow and Bananas for growth, Cacao for happiness and jungle. That was my No1 spot since I found it.

But the location of Ichabods capital makes me considering the jungletile in the gem-banana-gem triangle SW of Carthage. It would claim some land towards Ichabod and help establish our border there.

I realize now that I cut the pictures in a way you can't see Ichabods capital. Will remedy that the next turn.

The issue with the latter option is that it will not bring any new happiness resources. So in that case you might need to divert to trapping soon for the ivory.

Trapping is planned after Math finishes. The mining of the gems should hold me over for that time.

About pink-dotting: The buffalo/wine area does look very tempting but I don't see any real advantage to start hostilities right now and turn the game into a 1v1 against Ichabod. Not while I have other useful spots to settle.

Turn 30 played:

Settler finishes in 4 Math in 3. Gems are hooked up and our lands are again Barbfree.

Azza settled his 2nd city.

Build ,grow, build some more... backfilling some techs etc.. The Hanging Gardens will occasional get interrupted for a caravan or a lib for example.

Everyone is on 2 cities. Ichabod is building the Pyramids and yuris has declared war on one of his nearby citystates. Yuris and I have also a agreed to a lux-trade.
