Well, I don't know the details of this game, but when you move from this capital:

You're facing a pretty severe handicap from Turn 0. I'd argue that decision probably played a larger role in the game than leader traits.

Well it was even because Commodore also moved his capital to the bananas and claimed copper+silver with 2nd city, which lead to mad rush to the stone site since if he axe rushed, I would have been in trouble.
The real reason is that after a certain point, I was behind in cities and GNP because he built his altars pretty fast. Maintenance is killing me this whole game because my courthouses are 3 whippable with religion. Meh.

Other things I could have done:
Found rice+cow city 2nd and stone city 3rd.
Use Prophet I got to start a GA. The shrine was massively underwhelming.

In your dropbox account, place the screenshot in the public folder. There's a button 'copy public link' - click that, copy the link it gives you. Then put that link here in image or screenshot tags, same as your imgur pictures.

Strange that he didn't whip at all. Where are the knights? Did he forget machinery or slow building them? Anyways I microed a lot of tiles to 1T machinery but need 9t to engineering. I get another GP soon which I might burn just to get it faster.

Well I am still alive. Killed a 10+ knight/HA stack of his (EDIT: including a GG!) and now my power is higher. I think he made a huge blunder not attacking the MOM city directly but wandering into the culture.
