[spoilers] Impulsive Decisions: Commodore of the Malakim
|
Thanks Auro. Hope you enjoy tuning in for the impulsiveness.
This, now, does not count for my weekly impulsive decision. Mutation, if I recall, is almost always either beneficial or hilarious, and sometimes even both. Dear strong young Lightbringer, I hearby order you into the flame in the hopes you become more Magneto than Toad. Chaos mana this close to all that sun mana might make a nova. Eh, it wasn't as amazing as it could be but ole Lightfoot here now resists some elements better and is kind of empowered. Ain't Jubilee level bad, at least. He scampered on after a discrete amputation of his extra toes and found himself a goblin fort. That won't be a pain in the butt at all! The borders dey pop at turn's end, revealing nothing much.

What do you mean, doesn't count? He could have ended up Heavy and cut your expected scouting in half!

He's actually pretty good for scouting due to Sentry! Bears are slow, so if you make your steps carefully you should spot danger pretty easily. Griffons/Tigers/Giant Spiders are the one that are pretty deadly for that dude though.
LBs are ok for scouting open country. They suck in heavy terrain and they are dead meat at the hands of the first critter they encounter.

Beautiful moving between hills, though. But very vulnerable.

Yeah, the lightbringers ain't tough, nor are they good, but they can apparently upgrade to pretty okay things! Assuming, you know, survival. This poor sucker is going to hit this hut and if he survives will shuffle down to explore the dungeon. Those two actions combined should definitely kill him off.
Those goblins won't try to eat us next door to them, right? The lightbringer might very well the be last survivor of our civilization, however. The warrior is muddling towards a hut revealed by the borders' pop but I just now noticed THOSE THINGS up there. Ugh. Blech. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I am ruined. HATE lizards so much. Even if it is suboptimal, always support the dwarves!

If there are any more, it all depends on what the AI is thinking. I find the AI hard to predict. Quote:The lightbringer might very well the be last survivor of our civilization, however. You can explore ruins, too, assuming they don't spawn a guard before you get to them.
