[NO PLAYERS] PB25 Lurker Thread - Then Happy I, That Lurk and am Belurked

I'm learning it's easier to throw rocks from the sidelines. Less risk, less investment, mostly the same satisfaction without having the bother of actually playing the turns.

Shit dtay had 14 knights on defence against me and novice in PB18? He had as many knights on our border as we had WE and he still had the units to attack and kill Whosit and CH. I'm not even sure if that makes PB18 a good example of a knight rush or not.

Hmm ... shouldn't he have replaced those border knights with pikes/maces and used the knights to attack where he was attacking? (aka Whosit n CH)

Does barb fights get GG points in RtR or is Grimace just assuming things? I mean he's missing a war declaration, so he's wrong anyway but, just wondering if that changed.

Grimace is wrong about the GG. That's Elkad wiping a small DZ stack in his own territory with the Great Wall.

HAK built his Moai.

Finished it at size one though. He probably isn't getting any benefit at all from it right now--I hope the city is growing on the corn tile to speed things along. (This picture isn't from the current turn). That's going to be a slow return on investment with such a small city. frown

I wonder how many turns until Dunkin Donuts comes out of revolt for Gavagai. If he doesn't capture a city before it does he may lose units to strike, and the new city is probably only going to increase his costs. I think he's flatlined whether he loses the war with Borsche or if he wins it. I really don't think it matters either way at this point.

BTS gives you a grace turn in strike where no units are lost, right?

i seem to recall in my Adventure misadventure that it's you lose 1 unit the first turn, 2 the second, 3 the third, etc. but i could be wrong.
