[TECH] Unified announcement thread for Pitbosses/NatNeg Server hosted by Caledorn

this. totally this.

Files received. I can't typically mess with civ in the morning, but I should be able to get stuff up tonight.

If it is a choice between PB18 and another game, I really think only 2-3 teams in PB18 even care at this point and I have a busy weekend ahead with guests that I can't get rid of staying over where I'd rather be playing civ but won't be able to because her stupid, loud, annoying dog will be barking and planning the destruction of my home and how to maim my puppy...

I'm going to be fine. Happy Friday everyone. smile

I vote that I like the break from 18, so run anything not that! rolf

Any news, Cal? When you say "Norway", where you actually mean is "Svalbard", don't you? tongue

No news frown

It's very annoying, as the server that hosts our game VM also hosts the VM that hosts my WebPages, and the VM that runs my email server (this includes my paying customers as well, for both web and mail...).

The company responsible for delivering the hardware replacement parts are also among the largest companies in Norway, so I don't understand how this can take them this much time. It's ridiculous!

Not a very advanced one. But given that we have this one for free, and he has ordered backup replacement parts in case something like this ever happens again, it seems a bit over the top to pay for new hardware?

You'd need a dual-core or better cpu, 8GB of ram, and a HD of around 1TB. The GFX card could be the cheapest one you could pick up, or even the onboard one if there is one. And that's it.
