T131.
Blugh, odds went for me last turn, but against me this turn. My cats had a decent number of collateral hits, all 5s and even a couple 6s, and even one withdraw, but unfortunately two of the cats were handed flawless defeats by the defending WE. This had a butterfly effect in that I then my C1 LB against a high-health WE at 65% odds instead of a cat at 78% odds, which lost, and which later meant that my first horcher had a 50% battle against a spear, which lost, and thus I was never able to get top-odds on the C2 shock axeman, which means that I wasn't able to attack with my Impis at all. So, I badly damaged the stack but wasn't able to get in a position to wipe it. I offered a white peace, but Elkad did not accept (no counter-offer), instead opting to suicide his cats, an axe, and a chariot, and then retreat back into his territory. He also sniped a pair of workers with a chariot from the fog, and deleted them, ho hum, chariot too. He also killed another of my triremes at 32% odds, christ. He also has ANOTHER trireme coming in, for a total of 4 + a galley, christ how irritating. 5 more turns until his NAP with Donovan expires.
I sent this to HAK, who then ignored it with no counter-offer, of COURSE, OF COURSE:
How insane do you have to be to not take this deal, the city is huge, would come with borders already out, so much infrastructure... This is why I'm very sure he's going to attack me, by the way:
If he actually does attack me, and wants to gamble on all that infrastructure (it has a forge/library/walls/granary/barracks, and he'll lose the walls/library/barracks de-facto if he takes the city), I will fight him tooth and nail, to hell with everything else, to hell with these units, fuck him, he's gonna have to chew through a half-dozen longbows and a half-dozen other units at least. I've been as deferential as I possibly can be to this guy. I mean, FFS, I'm giving him free routes to all his GLH cities when I don't gain a single extra commerce from it... AFTER he already backstabbed me over this shit once, how much nicer does he expect me to be? I'm already biting my tongue in half going this far... if it wasn't for Commodore... goddamn, how can he not be concerned with Commodore???? What am I supposed to do about Commodore when the only guy on the map with the land base to stand a chance against him is a pair of the pettiest players on this site? FUCK, I HATE THIS GAME...
