So I'm heading off to bed and decided to just send the offer back to him before I log out again. If he accepts and it is deemed as an invalid trade by the lurkers/players then I guess we'll just need to have a reload to his login.
Oh and Mindy, I'm sending it back exactly as he sent it to me. I know we discussed trying to offer 100 or 150 gold, but I've put some thought into it and I don't want to deal with trying to haggle. I remember in PB22 (I think it was), I tried to haggle with him over something (though then it was minor amounts) and he was very much not happy about it. If this is going to happen, I just want to get it done without grief.

I just read through the whole signup thread. I see the line in the first post that indicates it's allowed for 'real trades only'. There are no further posts in the thread of anyone else discussing or disagreeing with it. I would then say everyone implicitly agrees it's ok, and it should be fine.

So this turn it started...
Commodore declared war on GJ. I see a spot where he landed 3 Galleys worth of troops. But Civstats also shows that he took a city. So I'm assuming he also sent galleys and was able to take that norhtner city of Deft (or something similar) from an amphibious attack.
Here's the demos and such for my turn:
And here's the city I got from GJ...
It actually had a lot more improvements than I was expecting it to have. Never expected it to have both a Forge and Library. Very happy for that.

When you trade for a city, you get all of the improvements already built in the city including the culture improvements that would autoraze on capture. The culture in the BFC of the traded city is also reset to 0.

Yeah, I knew that...at least regarding the improvements. I meant I didn't expect GJ to have built both the Forge and Library there. I was expecting to see less buildings there.

But you can see them when you zoom in on the sodding city! Why wouldn't you do that after you saw the offer!!

Wrapped gifts are more exciting, it's a mystery box of goodies waiting to be opened. No peeking!

You really think I know what all the buildings look like when zooming in? I actually did zoom in. ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) I knew I could see what I believed to be the Barracks. I could also see the Granary. I couldn't see anything that looked like Forge and I didn't really look for a Library (figuring he wouldn't have even bothered to build one). But I doubt I would have recognized the Library either. LOL
I suppose at some point maybe I should examine cities occasionally to get myself familiar with what the buildings are.

You know the picture in the civilopedia is the same as the improvement on the map?
