We might have shot ourselves in the foot in the short term by refusing that sugar. Still probably worth it for not having a coastal capital, but the micro hurts. Here is the first ring ivory plan. No sugar makes growing on warriors a somewhat pointless task, so tried the old double-worker, then chop Settler opening.

Nothing really to write home about, but we do have the workers available to improve a lot of stuff, we can start laying cottages T25 if desired.

Sure, the debate is mostly over the value of first ring ivory, fresh water health, levee, tiles traded and the consequent dotmap.

Right on, valid considerations, I was just making sure everyone's aware of that because its a brand new (and important) change in this version of the mod.

really? There's tons of water around your BFC island, right? Is there some other setting that disables workboats? o_0

Yeah, no idea what's causing it, I can build lighthouses and galleys but not boats, so I'm guessing that the no-tech requirement is broken in some way. On the phone now, so can't run tests, but really don't want to run into this. I should note that I'm talking about construction in the second city, not the capital.

Another interesting question is why does the maintenance jump to -3 as soon as the second city is founded and go to -4 once population grows a bit. This is going to be really severe... Toroidal penalties to maintenance have been removed, right?
