I just got disconnected from the server, and now when I go to log in it's showing a different game (PB28 I think?)--any clue what's going on?

I've had that happen to me many times. Sometimes it's the game that needs to be restarted, but I'm able to connect just fine right now. Sometimes it works itself out if you reboot your computer, so try that.

Whatever the issue was, it fixed itself without rebooting--if someone fixed it for me, thanks; otherwise computers are weird

Hey guys, unfriendly reminder here. If you're playing in this game and you're reading a rival player's thread or the lurker, you're cheating. I've seen TWO players in the wrong threads this morning. I'm not your game admin but I don't imagine such behavior would go unpunished if it continues.

I feel bad about these accusations. Who is being accused of what, exactly? Are you PMing the players that you saw looking at other people's threads, xenu, so they can defend themselves? With such a broad accusation, I feel like I could be being accusaed, when I don't know about it, and I don't like feeling like that. So, please, inform me if you think I did something wrong, because I feel really bad with accusations looming above everyone's head, including mine.

You will be contacted if you are suspected of doing anything illicit. If you haven't heard from an admin, then you have nothing to worry about.

I've PMed the people involved to discuss it. The point is to avoid a public accusation in case it isn't what it looks like. Once you get your name out as a possible rule breaker it tarnishes your reputation, so discretion is better than public flogging unless there is established a deliberate pattern of rule breaking. I don't want to make anyone feel bad or make anything less fun but I assume that most people who play fairly and follow the rules would want there to be some kind of enforcement mechanism in place to make sure everyone plays fairly when it becomes apparent that there might be deviations from expected behavior. I guess the alternative is to ignore the possibility of cheating when it may be seen to be happening, but I doubt that's palatable to most people here.

I agree. But under this ideas, that tech thread post was unnecessary, better to just contact the people in private.
