I suppose I should try and rank myself too! I haven't read too much of the reporting around here to get much
I feel that Gavagi is better than me. Limited data, but I get that feeling. Certainly played well in PB22
2metra I also feel is probably better. In the two games we have had together he has had better runs and especially better neighbours, but I feel he will vastly outplay me in any modern+ era so I would put him ahead of me.
Allhazard limited data but from his posts in the thread where he stated his results probably worse.
Dantski I am unsure of, I read the old reports but I don't know his current ability...
Ipaeac I am again unsure of, but I have a feeling he is better... Don't know why.
Old Harry I am unsure of. I followed a bit of him advising Adrien in the mentored PB and he seemed around my level, maybe slightly less.
TheWannabe could surprise us all although will probably fall into a new to multiplayer trap, especially if a 2mover stack goes for him.
Molach has been around a while but I am unsure of his ability.
Same for Greywolf.
So essentially not enough data for most, moderately pointless post!

Even with the exp bonus that was a hugely limiting growth factor. We needed huge amounts of boats. Off the top of my head we had just corn and sheep, and then a tundra deer south.
Didn't we have a pig near Moai city in the west too ?

Ah I think we did actually shared with the silver city... But there was a lot of tundra there, compared to floods it was quite disheartening to start with. I would have had no complaints if there was a land bridge up to HAK/Gavagi. There was a lot of land there and it was green, but comparitively poor in resources.
But also the huge amount of sea food resources were always gonna slow us down. We would have had a crawling start without exp!

Remember how we also had like 6 river tiles and fin would have been a huge boost for us too? It was generally a weird game for us.

Noo! Evil lurkers taunting me, I wanted Wellies! I would have provided much ![hammer hammer](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/hammer.gif) with them...
Although I would have been very paranoid in having no ivory actually... Would have been very amusing to give the Ivory to Bob if he were in the game

Don't have much time to think here currently, but wow is that an awkward start to play. Moreso with the given civs...
Playstyles are either:
It's either defend and tech with no useful UU/UB.
Attempt to dominate early growing fast with a mediocre UU/crappy UB and have a good land advantage later but be late myself to the ren...
Or have a great early defence to defend some wonders... With GLH banned though limited appeal.
None would make the start particularly easy either, hunt/mining vs myst/hunt vs wheel/mining. Germany is the most versitile than most but really being hurt here by being unable to get a work boat off the bat. I feel with this start I will need to abuse 2 ham whips early, possibly ignoring the pigs for a while. Hard to say...

Your sim:
http://media.rhizzone.net/civ/pb30.rem.C...wordWBSave
Notes:
1.) Your starting BFC is cut out of the save as if using a cookie-cutter.
2.) Strategic resources that are hidden from T0 (e.g. copper, iron, etc) are stripped out of this save file.
3.) The map dimensions in the sim are the same as the live game.
4.) Game settings in the sim also reflect the game settings for the live game. If a setting is incorrect in the sim, please report it in the tech thread.
5.) The easiest way to change a civ to go into the worldbuilder on T0 and give yourself different starting techs. Changing a leader requires editing the save itself but is actually very simple; please ask if you don't know how to do this.

Ok. Just opened up the WB and planted the city, and only THEN clicked how truly ![smoke smoke](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smoke.gif) this start is... initial tiles if I SIP are either coast which cannot be worked with any of the choices, 2/0/0 or 1/2/0. No bonus hammer. No speeding up fishing with half decent commerce. No real ability to grow for a whipped first unit. Wow. Pretty sure I would get better out of a WB generation!
Aside, I feel the mining the pig play is likely to be useful here. I can access mining early and it makes a 2/3/0 tile which is quite nice. There will be enough food in the cap once the fish are netted, so it might not need to be bulldozed for a short while. It's whether it is best to 15 turn the worker then fish or change halfway through... An amusing idea might be to get a 5 turn warrior and try and catch someone with their pants down. If someone near me has a start like this and I knew where they were if I followed a scout trail I could theoretically get there before they start to build a warrior, and come in from the diagonal like all lovely gamespy players do... (at the last second of the turn)
