I agree. I guess Olympian is an option for Downhill, seing how it is an alpine skiing event in the Winter Olympics. But I prefer Stream.

Bobsled and stream seem obvious enough for downhill.

As for the other Mario word:
*Match - having to do with super smash bros.? For some people, this is their main exposure to Mario, so maybe they think of this when they hear Mario. But I already concluded that match cannot be one of our words because otherwise DavidC would not have had only 1 word associated with Fischer.
*Bomb. There are bomb-ombs in Mario, and doesn't Mario throw bombs in Mario Bros. 2?
*Cloud. In Super Mario Bros., Mario rides a cloud at various times. Also, World 5 in Mario Bros. 3 takes place in the cloud realm (I'm doing this all without google from memory, I promise!)

It's Cloud, because clouds are one of the standard type of platforms, not sure whether throughout the series, but I think so.
