Codenames three

We need to get three words, right? And apparently difficult to link... It now seems obvious that Beer was a garden word too, but did our constant talk of Stick convince TT that we are not getting it, so he linked independently? My brain hurts.

My pick for second Brewing is

Church.

Edit: admittedly, Monks or something would be a better clue.

Those work for me.

I'm not sure about church for the second brewing word. "Twang" seems more likely to me. Isn't "twang" a type of taste? (At least in America, we might say that a certain beer has a "special twang" about it. Not sure if this slang is the same elsewhere in the English-speaking world). So I would rather go with "Twang" for our 3rd guess.

Brewing as a clue points away from the beverage itself though to the process of making it. If the clue was "Lager", "Ale", or, especially, "Bitter", I might consider Twang, but not for Brewing.

But again, I think this might well be a cultural thing. For a European, especially northern/central European, Abbeys and Beers go hand-in-hand without even thinking. Conversely, in 'Murica, if I understand correctly, churches are associated with sobriety and prohibition, if anything.

I'm also of the European persuasion, so Church makes the most sense to me. I'm inclined to overrule Psilly and go Beer -> Stick -> Church.

Might as well Point to Beer while we deliberate.

I don't think we had disagreements here either. David, do you want to weigh in on the church/twang debate? Where is TT from by the way?

TT is English, I believe. Church could also have been the third garden word, I suppose. At any rate I prefer it over Twang.
