RBP2 Lurker Discussion Thread - No Players!

Yeah I think Jowy's got another think coming if he thinks that Spullla is going to sign peace with the rest of the CoW and attack Dantski.

Now it may very well be possible that he wanted to bury the "personal" hatchet long ago, but waiting to do it until now, when they are taking their tails between their legs and running, is unfortunate timing at best.

Not sure if I'd take the peace if I was India. Guess it depends on how much damage they can do. It sure seems like they can kill the entire stacks of everyone else, and if so, what benefit do they have for peace now? Seems like a better peace deal would be achieved after they do that.

Though maybe it wouldn't be in their best long-term interests to kind of "rub the CoWs noses in it" and achieve some sort of concessions that leave them once again in the dominant position

Can we run a straw pole regarding what the lurkers think Spullla should do (not what you think they WILL do, but what you would do in their place) ...

1) take peace with everyone
2) take peace with everyone except Jowy
3) fight on

Personally, I would take peace with everyone, not sign any NAPs and tech like a banchee to Guilds. As soon as I see Jowy start to bump their strength, declare them a threat to Indian security and invade.

Note that fighting a battle in your own territory is much easier than fighting in someone else's territory - something else to look forward to smile.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I vote for #1: Take the time to recover, boom, and then Knights can steamroll Jowy. He might have Feudalism in time. Might.

I always got the impression that Speaker was just going to steam roll Jowy after they kick him out.

I don't think #2 is a viable option as the rest of the CoW won't accept that.
I lean towards #3. Jovy has basically no backup and they already have a tech edge.

Knowing what I know as a lurker, I would go for 2) to sow some dissent among the CoW members.

However, I would expect Kathlete to stick with Jowy, so it may be India vs. Greece and Turkey.

Now, you can all expect something completely different to happen, just look at my last prediction:

Just realized that, sure, India currently have lots of units but they are all (or almost) on MP duty controlling unhappiness in the cities.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

My vote would be for 2. Not for war reasons as much as just so, like someone said already (I think), to hopefully stir up a little bit of debate within the CoW, possibly even getting them to disagree on whether or not to accept.

Though this is sort of a "side show" - the implications of peace is big between Dantski and Nakor. Dantski accepting peace meant:

1. Dantski's army survived fully intact
2. Nakor's army is completely wiped out

Add on top of that that Nakor is locked out of the Kathlete/Whosit/Jowy alliance, and Nakor is completely toast. I have to think he will be the next player taken out of the game.

my Gut says they will take ether option 2 or 3

my reasoning is they HATE jowy for the off field bickering/ jibbing thats been hapening between them and they might decide to go for the juggular while its available and not give anyone a chance to regain their strength and co-ordinate an attack further down the road

Good point. If they decide to go on the offensive, they should wait a few turns reconnecting their copper and build some MP warriors first.
