Dreylin was eliminated. I'm officially at worst the fourth lowest ranking player. That's not too bad, but is this supposed to be fun?
Oh well, at least I gave peace a chance for one game. This has been a good months-long nap.

Suddenly the game is over. I expected Scooter and Mackoti to at least try attacking TBS. I wanted to hop in on that action so I'd finally have something fun to do.

This was an experiment from me to play a different kind of game. Managing a working empire late in the game is more fun than managing an out-teched crapland that is just waiting to be put out of its misery. All in all though, there doesn't seem to be much point in trying to stay competitive and waiting for an opening. Games get called just like that before any world war or dogpile attempt at the leader. PB29 was boring to me as a player. It was likely also boring to you lurkers to watch the stronger players wipe out the weaker ones, and then not see the strong ones clash. EDIT: Part of the reason for that might be that the two original contenders dropped out due to drama and had to be replaced.

I agree - the short time that they have owned the civs gives them little connection to them and much less willing to keep the game going on. Perhaps with both interested in 33 they are less keen to start a full scale war to see what happens due to time? Plus I have read in a few players global warming has started to hit which ALWAYS kills my enjoyment of any game as it is soul destroying to see your best cities slowly starved shakehead
