The caveat is that I'm a noob (I watch a lot of NFL for a brazilian, but I'm outside the world of discussion, statistics, metrics and knowledge that I know exists around american sports) and I'll probably imbalance the picking phase (like, missing an obvious pick and letting the player after me get too good of a choice). If that's not a problem, I'd find the experience interesting and I'd like to sign up.
Other than the Super Bowl, I haven't watched an NFL game from start-to-finish in like 2-3 years, and I'm still in. Fantasy Football is more about basic fantasy sports things: pay attention to trends, be active (make waiver claims and set your lineup), and get lucky. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Nice. I pick Joe Montana and David Beckham.
Steve Young was better than Montana IMO. Not a signup.

Steve Young was better than Montana and will never get his due.
But Tawm Brady might be better than anyone.
Sure I'll sign up.

Ichabod. I joined this league after watching only two games as a Brit and it was still good fun even with the odd mistake.
Heck, I won it the next year so don't do yourself down

I'm biased towards Montana, but objectively Steve Young was the more effective QB.

Sitting this year out. Have fun guys.
Also of three opinion that Young is better than Montana. Hard to pick against either though.

PM'd the players not yet signed up who played in 2013-2014 and/or 2014-2015 but not in 2015-2016.
