Commodore gave away what it was, and everybody ignored him.

Probably the PB where Seven rushed retep with Impis (can't remember the number). There was a great rush by Thoth against Pindicator in one PB, but he ended up losing to TBS (so mobility didn't really win).
That's my guess, but I don't really remember the numbers. And what civ was TBS driving?
Also, you were in the game.
Anyway, I was referring to PB19. Pindicator drew the geographic short straw and had just chariots as a result, which was bad news as his Zulu neighbor Impi-rushed him to race out to an early lead. On the side, Commodore ran over Dtay with a Knight-heavy army, and then TBS ended the game by demolishing half the world with Cavs. On a land-based map, having the right 2-mover at the right time won repeatedly.

I was the comic foil in that game. The Chris Rock to Thoth's army of Jackie Chans.

Impis, man. The number of games they've ended (in a good or bad way) is pretty staggering at this point.

I've held the current QOTM for about 90 minutes. Give it a little longer.

Also, when I went to bed last night I was like 80% sure REM wasn't racing me, and I was only being overly paranoid. Since then all you guys have done is completely spam the lurker thread. I'm back down to like 60%. THANKS A LOT. Although I suppose there's been plenty of other active threads in that time, so there's plenty else to discuss.
(FWIW it doesn't matter. My plan is basically locked in, and my mind is made up. It's just confusing.)

I feel like RB needs its own version of this meme:

THE DAILY ROLL
TURN 243: THE PENNY DROPS
Byzantium climbs and climbs the mountain of conflict, their power buffered by many years of continuous military spending, whilst the Netherlands and Ottoman Empire continue to delay full mobilisation, even when unsuccessful in evicting the ravenous invader from the north. The Ottomans have diverted their research of communism in pursuit of firearms and explosives, but it might yet be too late for muskets to make a difference in their defence, that is if they are eventual target of Byzantium's campaign, who are now the only bet for the Kremlin. The world's economic powerhouse to Byzantium's military regime, the Khmer Empire maintains their great edge in food, economy, and production, and this disparity alone is reason enough for the Aztecs' ambition for the Statue of Liberty. Its capture, while not drawing the gap to a close, will at least delay it from swelling to surrenderous proportions. The Aztecs are thankful that the Khmer do not yet have the cumulative means to surge the expensive wonder to completion, but they are secretly apprehensive over rustles in the grapevine, with every noise being potential rumour of a hidden device to spite their plans.
