I'm still of the opinion that they should both have been put up against a wall and shot.

On topic: I should mention that I'm probably going to be reporting this game differently than previous games. I'm not simming but I will use spreadsheets, if only for my own convenience that I will be making public, but I'm not likely to be doing regular turn updates: I no longer have the time to report civ to the standard of PB5. Between my job, personal life I lack free time. What I do have time for is reasonable turn play, and I have found that I would benefit form havibng something to sink "thinking" time into.

To this end, I want to play a new game where I can dawdle along and play in a sandbox. I'm not throwing the kitchen sink at winning the game, just going to try and play well, conservatively and to a good standard. I'm not trying to teach newbies how to play, but I can answer questions. I would hope that some lurkers would also help to answer anything that newbies want to ask, if they felt comfortable.

Because of this, therte are certain things I do not want to play: I am not interested in playing SPI leaders, I'm not interested in playing a game where I have to war with the entire world, although I do expect that the occasional war is going to happen. Tokugawa I ain't. I'm going to be playing between 1900-2000 most nights, and that's a turn window I'm sticking to. No more shift work and a social life are seeing to that.
